    Great side by side comparison. Headed to the boat show this weekend with enough information to seriously consider an FX waverunner. Thank you ...

    I have two of 2024 VXHO’s and love them. Incredible acceleration for a stock bike from the factory. Looks great and is comfortable to ride for the day. I don’t care about storage since they live at a lake house.
    - no need to store a cover or cooler

    I have an FX.. I like the 'army tank' nose down wave crushing effect in lake water with rough wind waves
    also, we have 150 MPH boats going by!!.. the wakes got scary with a smaller pwc I had..

    Great video , thank you, I would enjoy both of those , but in the end i like the FX, big comfy seat, more storage, and way more features, and i like the FX has the nozzle trim,l. Just get the one i want because if i got the VX, i know id get home and wish i bought the FX, just because of what i mentioned above.

    On July 7th , i rode a Seadoo GTX Pro, from Long Beach California to Catalina Island 🏝️, which is about 25 miles one way. I really enjoyed that ocean 🌊 ride, a little scary, but i did it. Got to see Dolphins 🐬 and Sea Lions along to the way.

    I like the speaker placement on the FX, somewhat above the foot well while on the VX it is in the foot well, and for us taller riders it matters.

    The VX is a fun good quality ski but If you're a long-distance rider definitely get the FX. Also if you're sometimes riding in ocean conditions definitely get the FX. The one thing I would never do as a long-distance rider is to buy a ski without cruise control, it's game changing.

      What did you like better? I have a GP1800R HO and a Seadoo GTX300. Even with the huge power increase of the Seadoo, I find the Yamaha sooo much more fun to ride and maneuver. I know the GTX is the same hull as RXTX but probably rides a little less sporty

      Hit 67 mph today on my Azul Blue VX HO. It looked to me like you gave your dad the hit on the FX and couldn't catch him. Either way it's nice to see that big FX runs that strong. The 1.9 is a powerhouse...adding weight doesn't seem to slow it down much. Mine still has run 63-64 with 2 passengers.

      Yamaha better than Kawasaki. You should consider Seadoo as well

    • @tkpowersports
      @tkpowersports  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I have ridden Sea-Doo and Kawasaki on the ocean, and the Kawi Ultra 310 is still the best machine ive felt in big chop. Something about the hull handles those big waves the smoothest.
      I really like the Waverunners, but they have a bad reputation right now for poor paint quality. Outside of that, Waverunner is reliable and I think some of the best handling models on the market, especially the GP1800.

      @@tkpowersports yes I have been hearing the kawasaki would be better for rough waters here in florida, I like the Yamaha FX, but nervous about the hull paint issues..I will look at seadoo also... thanks

      don’t listen to “axebeard”. Yamaha isn’t better than Kawi. I’ve owned em all. The worst build quality can be found on a seadoo. Yamaha and Kawi are, without a doubt, better machines than the Seadoo. With Yamahas paint issues your best bet currently is a Kawi. That’s what I currently have and won’t leave them now. The Ultra 160LX will last forever and be a solid, built like a tank machine. It depends on how much power you need. I have a 310. It’s wild. If you don’t want the supercharger get the Ultra 160. You won’t be disappointed. I ride with guys who have Yamaha and seadoo. Anyone who takes my 310 for a ride wants to make the switch to Kawi. Solid, solid machines.

    • @pajamatime5750
      @pajamatime5750 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Also for ocean riding you won’t find a better hull than the deep V fiberglass Kawi - as TK said. You can’t go wrong. Check out JDs Waterworld and the watercraft journal as well. TK is the best reviewers out there but JD specializes in Kawi and will show ya why they’re the best!

    I'll be so glad when this stupid fad of throwing speakers on everything dies off. They look terrible and they don't sound good. Oh and its just extra weight and extra money. People who ride these the way they are meant to be ridden don't need speakers.

    • @terryshuttle7

      So, I take it that you own a rotary phone, and a Kodak camera. And for on the water, you have a go-fast 2 stroke ski craft. Millions of people definitely disagree with you. People want bells and whistles and will pay for them. The manufactures will listen to them and keep evolving these machines. If you don't want a sound system, simply just don't buy one!

      Two things affected that I believe:
      - I have a good 60-70 lbs on my dad. So rider weight played a role and negated the unit weight difference.
      - The performance mode on the FX seems to help it on the hole shot a bit more than the VX.
