Marty Music hey Marty, love your videos, very helpful to me👌 but I would appreciate it if you can make a video for "Time in a Bottle" by Jim Croce! Anyways keep up the good work👏👏👏
Marty I actually don't believe that anyone that want to learn how to play guitar can easily learn and excel rather quickly with your easy and simple approach in how you teach guitar. Something sounds complicated to play but, you have broken it down in sections which makes it very easy to play right away. Thank you for the years of lessons that you have been given us. Giving us the confidence to pick up the guitar and actually play. 🎸❤️❤️
I don't think they're allowed to do that because of copyright issues, the video would be taken down, I've seen it happen with other TH-cam tutorials...
Marty ,I am 66 yrs old. I first started playing guitar just a few yrs ago. I stumbled on one of your videos I not play15 beatle songs and many other bands . It's because I purchased mustang sally discs on one of your promotions. you taught me to play guitar and I can't thank you enough. Oh yeah it's now 16 beatle songs. My family and friends are amazed. "GOD bless" for your teaching ability and ease in which you do it.
Marty that's why you're the BEST!.. You show a Classic, ICONIC song like THIS, that I LOVE, and you don't just show the "chords to strum" like some lessons here, you ADD embellishments, bass lines and fills between chords, that SEEM so logical, and SOUND so GREAT, you wonder HOW Anyone could give a lesson Without them!.. THEN when I ADD your little extras to my vocals, I have something that I'm just Waiting to PLAY for someone!... Thank you for what you DO, Marty, THANK you!. May you have an even Better 2024!
On the verge of 400,000 subscribes, sure come a long way in a short time. Congrats Marty, all your work is paying off. The supporting part is a piece of cake, thanks for all your work.
I have been a fan of The Beatles since 1968 (six years old) when I got my first album. It's been a rare day since then that I have not listened to a Beatles song. I was also given a Harmony guitar in 1973 which I still have, but never did anything with it other than learn a few of the basic chords. I tried a few years ago to take lessons but I just couldn't get into it. Then I was watching an outtake where Himesh Patel is singing "Something" to Ana de Armas on the James Corden show from the new movie "Yesterday" DVD (that got cut from the final film), reminded me of how beautiful and powerful that song is. So much so that I decided to not only take guitar up again seriously, but to spend as much time as I needed to learn this particular song because it does mean something to me. Thank you for the tutorial, this is the one I will be learning from. : ) Cheers.
@marty - - you've been teaching me guitar for a long, long time. your still my go-to dude for learning everything and never fall short. Just wanted to say thanks.
You rock, Marty! I started playing guitar at 45 and you are my favourite online teacher. Every aspiring guitarist I meet, I tell them to look you up online. Cheers!!
Marty you are the best! I picked up the guitar last January and my skills have improved so much watching your videos , also your songs tutorials are really easy to comprehend.
Great lesson for a great song!! I like that it is challenging for me without being impossible and lets me work on some things I struggle with. Your version sounds great, too! Thanks, Marty!
Look up "He's So Fine" ... apparently George subconsciously ripped it off and had to pay for it. I don't see it. But then I didn't hear the Stones "The Last Time" in "Bittersweet Symphony."
Ive been playing guitar since i was about 10 and i never considered myself "good" but I know how to do this by looking at it and Marty ive watched your vids since i was a small boy. I will learn one of my favorite beatles songs. Im more into death metal now Marty and youre the best teacher. Youre the one who taught me to play just by watching your videos. Never leave youtube.
Hi Marty. I just want to thank you for showing so many songs that I love and as a kid I never thought I'd be able to play. Now at the ripe auld age of 44yrs old, with your relaxed and helpful tuition I've learned songs I love. Thank you so much!! Don't stop, and best wishes to you from Scotland x
Thanks Marty, another one to get my head round... but with your excellent tuition I'll get there. You have become my go to guy for how to play the best songs ever recorded. You are a gift to aspiring players. God bless you, sir!
I just watched Scott's Houston comercial....& I did my 1st step...to learn "Piano playing".. for Fun.. .....just like the way I play guitar.....not a Musician type of player, but enough to enjoy my time w/friends. Yesterday I also watched his Seminar & He convinced me 100%.
This is great, thank you. I've sung this for years in a Beatles trib, but always figured it was too difficult to play on guitar. Turns out, not so hard when you break it down!
Well, you have to know how to play guitar to play this on guitar but of course you could learn! As far as songs go, this is pretty easy. Mostly C, F, and D with a few tricky parts along the way.@@julie2703
What an incredible song! I like the way Paul starts it w/ his ukulele and then full on jams! Awesome way to honor the great George Harrison! Thanks, Marty
Thanks so much Marty that was super helpful! I was playing simple twist if fate and it's the same progression of c/cmaj7/c7/f and I heard this song in there and had to learn it so thanks again
I struggle playing the solo slightly but you suggesting to play the chorus rhythm cords instead is a great idea ( which now seemed the obvious solution) 🤣 it’s made it much more enjoyable to play without the extra concentration on the solo, so thanks Marty, Marty pants 👌
New subscriber from France , Marty, love your tutos, very clear, easy and smart. As a beginner, my progress are justfantastic just following your lessons. Thanks for providing us this wonderfull lessons.
As much as I love the entire Beatles catalogue, my favs are George's: Something, While My Guitar Gently Weeps and Here Comes the 🌞; and 1st song I ever learned was Don't Bother Me. Under-appreciated and late bloomer
How many guitar hacks are going to be impressing their special someone this weekend? I will be guilty. Given all the likes I am suspecting it will go over a thousand. Marty can add cupid to his list of accomplishments. We love you dude!!
I'm still a relative beginner, but another great tutorial video Marty! You have an ability to simplify things and demonstrate how it all hangs together. I got the basics by the end of the video so it's just a case now of perfecting the playing and developing the melody and walk downs. Great stuff. Thanks!
Hi Marty, very good demonstration,l really enjoy how you move fairly swiftly through the chords and name them, that's fantastic.,lm going too try learn this great song Well done 😊

George was so underrated. He lived in the shadow of John and Paul. But this song shows his brilliance.

You’re right, most of my favorites are by George.
The Beatles would not have liked you.
All things must pass
While My Guitar Gently Weeps

One of the most beautiful songs ever created. It would be great if in a future video you could somehow incorporate the melody....

Truly one of the greatest love songs ever written.... even Sinatra loved this song.
Beautiful! Something is to George what A day in the life is to John and Paul, an all time great Beatles classic.
Great break down on a classic song. I cannot wait to plays this for my Beatles loving Mother-in-Law. Great way to keep me in the will!
