Correction I found. The azure flute appears in your room as soon as you start a new game. The elite four simply needs to be beaten to have the azure flute activate at spear pillar
"The event made no sense so let's not release it" 10+ Years later actually lets just randomly pop the item into your room after 100%ing a completely different game then not changing anything else about the original event.
I’ve been at my shiny arceus hunt +200 hours of JUST in game recorded time. A reset takes about a minute or less. I have worked 8 hour shifts of my job with a joycon on my desk just spamming a, pressing forward, a, home, X, spam a. I lay in bed hunting. When I’m watching tv I do it, I only look at the screen for the moment of the reveal, and it’s just become so ingrained into my routine. My fiancé will help me work on it when she’s bored or if I’m getting a shower. I don’t spend every waking second doing it, but there have been weeks where I have come pretty damn close. I have been working at this since it became available, sometimes I’ll stop for months, sometimes just a few days. I’m doing it right now. I didn’t finish Pikmin 4 because one of my brothers started hunting it, and I need to be first. They have given up for the time being, and I am still going. This shiny arceus is ruining my life. And in 3-4 years it’s just gonna be available in EX raids in Pokémon Go anyway. I will keep going. I will get a shiny arceus. Not today Not tomorrow But some day

Just do RNG manipulation. It’s easy. I caught shiny Palkia today after over 2k resets and decided to rng manipulate. Then I caught shiny Arceus right after. Both legit, not genned because it’s a pokemon you get in the game, not create. You do use an outside software, but all it does is let you know where your character is in respect to the shiny. You can tweak it to bring your character *closer* and then take certain actions so that you land directly on the shiny. I did it twice. Easy if you have a good laptop. Go figure it out and learn about it.
Really glad you were able to get this! This is such an awesome shiny to finally be able to legitimately hunt! And these resets are not short, I have done a lot of full odd shiny hunting both in 4096 and 8192 games and 55 second resets can be very draining when you're doing it on one system. Congratulations and I'm really happy that you are so happy, hopefully this experience maybe leads to you doing some even more full odds shiny hunts

I've been hunting this guy for a few months now. Its been a longer grind than I anticipated. I've stuck through for shiny Ho-oh, Rayquaza and Mewtwo on HG/SS so I know it's bound to pop before those 3. Ho-oh took years but I took breaks. Mewtwo was a straight grind and took about a month 8-12 hours a day when I had a job doing security. These days I put in 1-3 hours a day.
I cant wait to do this hunt, just finished palkia at about 2900 resets and 40 something hours and dialga at about 6k resets with about 80ish hours. Started giratina yesterday. Once i get giratina im going to play legends and prepare for pokemon god
Been catching multiple Arceus from BDSP and I have learned that you need to achieve 3 checks to activate the event -defeat Cynthia -catch the box legendary (and I mean catch the box legendary of the save, just transferring the Pokemon in from another game doesn’t work) -obtain the National dex (there are at least 33 Pokemon you don’t encounter in trainer battles if you’re speedrunning the game, at least 30 regular Pokemon, the lake trio, and the opposite box legendary (who you can register by talking to Cynthia’s granny))
I did the shiny hunt myself after PLA came out, final got my shiny after 10 hours and went to use my master ball. Turns out I forgot I used it already so I had to catch it the hard way. Stalled it out and got it with a timer ball after almost losing it
That was my biggest fear when I went for this hunt and wanting it in a premier ball. Very unfortunate that you had to experience that, and I hope that your reclaim is swift!

Dang didn’t even synchronize trick him into a good nature lol. I got mine Timid with my sync Mew. Took me like five days after I beat PLA to get my shiny Arceus. Was a good day, also while I was doing it I went and reset on Soul Silver for a shiny starter, ended up with a 1/8192 shiny Timid Cyndaquil as well!
The Arceus has decent odds of being real but the Mew is unfortunately more than likely fake or illegitimate. The event to get Mew was very rare, even in Japan, and no one would go through all the work of Shiny hunting it just to get rid of the game later
@@wollywog42 just cause something is unlikely doesn't mean it didn't happen, besides there are normal reasons a rare shiny save file could have been sold, maybe the guy needed money desperate to eat, maybe his mum sold it and he didn't know, and if anyone would have it, its the person whi also has a shiny arceus

The math is wrong or something people keep saying its 1 in 4000 and something but thats not true and can not be true. People saying this are either just repeating what they were told or dont know how odds work. If its 1/4000 just for example then that means when you do it 4000 times one of those will be it. If you go above that and dont get it then its not 1/4000 odds. You should get one with in 4000 attempts if the odds are right..
Thats true but the issue is they are claiming the method they are using is 1/4096 however if you were to do it right you would account for the resets which if accounted for would give new odds much higher then the one they claim exist. Again its people who dont know how odds work. If its 1/4096 then thats what it is, if resetting changes the odds then you need to adjust the figure for it, not just be lazy and go with the first number you get.@@HillyRockyRoads
During the distribution for those events, if you had the event started and unlocked the locations, you can go back to them whenever you want since they are, well, unlocked. You would reset the game the same way with darkrai, but with shaymin you could run away, go back a bit from the path, come back, and encounter shaymin again.

When i got my shiny arceus, it didnt feel real. It felt like maybe i had rng manipulated or cheated in some way, but i hadnt. It was real.
That moment of disbelief is always crazy, but when it settles in that it’s for real, it makes it feel just that much better
