Get the NIVIDA 2019 (it's not actually that old as they constantly update it and the hardware, that's just the name of their top tier one, the other is the 2017) NIVIDA gets you upscaling of all media to 4k, you can also load apps that aren't on the TV app store onto it like Stremio and others. A box that doesn't let you install Stremio is garbage and you are wasting your money. It's simply the best tv box, it's common knowledge.
Rubbish the SHIELD TV Pro come out in 2017 shield is well out dated these days, my Mecool KM6 Deluxe has 4gb ddr ram shield only 3gb i,m afraid they need to update to 2024
I don't know about the Mecool KM6 but a lot of Android Boxes advertise up to 4K HDR but it's not supported on all apps. Like it might work on Netflix only and not Disney+... On the other hand Shield TV has always been the one to beat, with the latest version also having Dolby Atmos vision and sound support
@@GuyRobertKernisant has to be the KM6 Deluxe not just the KM6, I watch any mainstream like netflix or prime on my TV but the deluxe has 4k upscaling HDR Dolby Atmos built on chromecast and all the other bells and whistles, I have an expensive cinema surround sound that cost more than my flagship samsung TV and the dolby sound is unreal, I think shield is the best for gaming but not being a gamer I wouldn't know, like most know the shield is so outdated now it's time for people to wake up and see there are better more up to date options out there
@@lowrider692000 Thanks for your reply. I am in the process of building our system. We have a 4K QLED from Samsung that will be paired to some Harman Kardon Citations (old but we like the sound profile and design). The KM6 seems to have a smaller footprint, HDMI 2.1 (for gaming) and Wifi 6. The connectivity might be what wins me over... Nvidia has GeForce Now, HDMI 2.0b and 4x4 Mimo on Wifi 5 (802.11ac). Both options would test the limit of our Samsung Frame TV. Gaming isn't our priority either but a nice to have.
@@GuyRobertKernisant the km6 have now come out with a newer model which can now show netflix and prime in true 4k but I wont be updating to the new as I said I dont use them as I watch them on my 65" samsung QLED I really wish shield would come out with a up to date newer model worth buying, I only use my KM6 deluxe really for side loading to watch movies and box sets I do not game at all, that being said I did upgrade to netgears latest Orbi router and 1 satellite awsum routers I can now ring out not needing a home phone
