im so happy i found you guys! i've been looking for something to upgrade from the stock RNS510 in my 2011 CC and after multiple months of solid looking your website finally popped up with a complete kit, and it keeps all the factory options to boot! I will definitely be buying one of these kits in the new year.
Thanks, this explains the installation very well. I have a radio fitted like this by the previous owner and have very bad radio signal. I was told it is because the Amarok has a dual antenna and the kit only allows for one connection. You have to install a FAKRA DAB adapter
Hey, mate. Yeah sensors are compatible with our Amarok head unit and we can also throw in our aftermarket reverse camera for free. Just put a note on the order so we can add.
Great instructional video, thanks Vhedia. Just wondering, with the GPS antenna, did you stick it to something just under the top tray, so its out of view but still prominent enough to get good GPS reception? Thank you
Hi, Yeah mate can just stick it upside down under the main tray or to the side. Reason for this is just incase you put like a phone on the main tray or something that my block the signal only want plastic above it. Cheers
Hi, This is a unit under our own brand is it is a Vhedia head unit. Can be seen here: vhedia.com.au/product/volkswagen-amarok-head-unit-2011-2016/ Cheers

Glad you liked it!
Does this head unit enhance audio quality from original speakers?
Yeah, mate. Head unit's have built-in DSP so it should help improve sound quality of factory sound system.
Do you know if the plug for the 2015 amarok is the PQ or MBQ plug?
Hey, mate. First gen is PQ35 and the second one I think is MQB.
Once installed does the dash still talk to the new head unit. As in show the navigation or song playing?
Yeah, mate. Should still retain the factory functions.
Thanks, this explains the installation very well.

If you only plan on using Apple Car play via your phone, could you just not worry about installing the GPS antenna and cable?
Hey, mate. It's advisable for you to install it but yes Apple CarPlay would still work as intended even without the GPS module. Cheers
