Thanks so much for this. Such a relief to hear from someone else who had the combined issues of anxiety (and at the time undiagnosed OCD) plus that causing so much weight loss and then having to deal with the health problems associated with that, plus fear of body sensations. I was/have been dealing with this for years.

Thanks for sharing. That breakdown incident i can identify with immensely. When it happened,a year back...i was not able to fathom why I was crashing.is it depression or loneliness or self pity..or self downing. It was confusion. I had attached my self worth with what I do,and what i have accumulated..i had irrational belief to prove myself. But it's like a bucket with a hole ...even if the tap is running continuously..it won't get filled up. And it's illusion that I need something or the other to enhance my self worth. As you said ,it's a bit complex to get to know the nature and subtlety of OCD at first instance but thanks to the sharings and tools discussed here and in the book im able to apply them. Now I'm applying it non compulsively. Unconditional self and life acceptance is the KEY. For many months it was applied mechanically but once applied it thoroughly..the tentacles of OCD loose it's hold on us.And the difference is stark.

This is such a brilliant description of what it’s like and I’m so so glad to hear that you’re doing well and reading the list - good for you, Rohit 🙌

Hi Jade this was so good to watch. Thanks for sharing your story. I have been able t9 work on my Ocd recovery since I began my eating disorder recovery 3 years ago. I'm getting there. This channel and the Instagram account have been amazing in the last couple of years and I have been able to work on a lot of compulsions and my life has changed so much. I am still recovering and accept that it takes time, lots of time.... but any triggers nowadays just seem like little hints to what I need to work on rather than be scary and cause so much suffering. Life gets much better, thanks so much Jade and 😘

Hey Emma, I’m so so pleased to hear you’re on the journey and getting better bit by bit - I can relate so well with what you’re saying about life having changed so much but knowing there’s still a bit more to do. Please ask me any questions on my videos and I’ll make sure I help where I can in future Q&A’s. Thanks, Jade x

@@jadet1337 thanks so much Jade, I watched another one of your videos last night and found it great too, about self care in recovery. I have during my recovery started to do some meditation and breathing exercises, I have realised that along the way these things can become compulsive so I have been working on just keeping these things as part of my lifestyle and not using them in the heat of the moment when my head goes off one, and sometimes even reducing them a bit if I feel like it, this is not easy, and can still be difficult, but it does get easier. Takes time, but is so worth it, and will be even more so down the line. Thanks so much Jade 🙂

Thank you for this. I am in desperate need for help, but don't have the money to pay for the treatment right now (I've lost many jobs due to OCD, I suspect)...I'm reading the 1st book on your list, but going nuts, 0 improvement for years...awful, I don't know what to do

Hi there I will cover this on my next q&a video to give you some extra advice. I’m glad to hear you’re reading the books and watching the free resources here - I’m so sorry you’re having such a difficult time - things will get better the more you can work on a recovery plan - perhaps watch my recovery plan video as well ❤
