He is criminally disrespected. If his name was Curtis Joninho or if he played in the Bundesliga teams would be lining up to sign him.

The most impressive thing about Jones is that he has shown so much willingness to be self critical and adjust his game accordingly. Before his long injury-forced absence he was alway skillful on the ball but he had an annoying tendency to dribble into trouble and lose possession. While he was out Klopp told him to watch videos of himself and he seems to have come back with a better understanding of the importance of releasing the ball quickly when there are options. He still have his close control skills but he has added so much more to his game since the injury. If he keeps on improving he will be a nailed on starter for the Reds.

One of your African followers here..
Liverpool fans- especially those with a keen eye have known this for a while now.
It became especially apparent during the start of the season when we weren't great at all in 1st halves and sometimes even up to the 65th... then Elliot and Jones get subbed in(a favorite sub routine of Kloppo's), and BOOM!
Something changed- the dynamism, better ball-retention throughout the team, more creativity...
Much of that impact came from Jones, but I feel people are sleeping on Harvey Elliot, and yes- as a duo, they make a complete package.

Jones ceiling is up in the clouds…. But he is young and has been inconsistent. However its great to see him pickup his game.

In Salah absence, would be interesting to see Macca play 6, Gaven and Jones as 8s and Szobo play in Salah role on right wing…

@@kiweping5 I don't agree Gravenberg lazy. People might forget he just 21 yo, and not get many game time at Bayern for a year. Of course it'll affect his performance, physically and mentally. I don't get the stick people give him. He shows his skill, the problem is he just inconsistent, and that's normal for young players. Klopp says good things about him and that enough to believe him. The same happen to Curtis too, people gave him stick because he isn't consistent but look how good he is now. That call progress

@@hills863 he barely runs, I expect when Thiago and Bajcrtic come back from actual injuries that actually prevent them from training and playing, they will run a lot more than him and they will be a lot tidier on the ball

HE IS NOT SCORING "ONCE EVERY FIVE GAMES OR ASSISTING". HE IS SCORING OR ASSISTING ONCE EVERY 2.5 GAMES, according to your data. He is scoring once every 5 games but he is also assisting once's every 5 games, so he's got a 0.4 chance of goal or goal contribution PER GAME. That is super high.

He signed a contract recently in 2021 and was only £15k per week which is mad to be on that wage when he is that good a player in this market. Should be on at least £100k a week and even Gravenberch who ain’t as good is on £150k a week. But LFC loving it as signed that contract till 2027. He knows he is worth a lot more then that and that’s why the Arsenal link came in to try put pressure on Liverpool to offer a much better contract which he does deserve now. arsenal would give him at least £150k a week.

CJ always good off the ball
on the ball, he always try to replicate his prime youth made him monotone and predictable
in England U21 WC winning team, he is pretty much the mature one around young Lions
his experience as the mature one in the team i think help him with the ball this season, as he is less trying to replicate

i keep saying hes been our best midfielder this season, szoboszlai was better for the first couple months but he’s been rough since, mac allister might be better than him in the 8 but he’s mainly played in the 6 so we dk yet, gravenberch started great but again has had a few poor cameos then endo has only been in the team for about a month so u can’t say he’s better. Talent wise and peak i don’t think he’ll be our best nor was he better than mac allister last season but this season he’s been our best for sure
