I have a 2012 Buick Verano Con. Only problem I have is keep putting oil in it and variable camshaft solenoid needs to be replaced every once in awhile. I have almost 137,000 miles on it and still get good gas mileage about 31 mpg.
My 2016 Verano with only 63,000 miles on it has a problem not starting, even though I have the key fob right there. Also, the alarm keeps going off all the time, no matter where it's at. The car alarm is constantly going off! It's quite maddening, but other than that, the car is a beautiful car and drives really great.
A word to the wise! On the 2.4 Lea engine, the water pump is driven off the timing chain, removing the water pump without first installing the special tool (fixture) will result in the water pump sprocket falling, causing the engine to lose time.
I have a 2012 verano an have only had radio problems. Where the screen goes black but then comes back on. Like a wire is loose or something. Other than that my verano is like new still. Had to replace transmission at 205,000 miles. My stick shift is starting to jam. But it's a great car. Fast.
That's great, had no idea about these problems but you failed to mention the power steering is ELECTRONIC, so does not require any fluid but can malfunction at will causing the vehicle to instantly shutdown ON THE ROAD like mine just did. This is the worst and I'm certain it'll cost an arm + a leg to repair. GM/Buick you have outdone yourselves with this latest innovation 💡 (not).
yea ive had that happen to me a couple times. i’ll be at a red light and i’m hovering around 900 rpm, and i’ll tap my gas a little bit and my car would shudder and shut down. it’s only happened a few times within the past couple years tho
Great question. Does your engine also have Ecotech/boost? BC their are a few different trims/versions of the 2016. Have had mine just over a year now @ 53K mi and sounds like the transmission needs a tuneup. Definitely a fast car though.
My car is starting to give me the problem of shutting off when getting to a light . Just this Friday is shit down while I was on the slow lane to exit. I almost had a panic attack.
@@kylalee804 turns out it’s the Cam Shaft Sensors. Plus the oil must be checked constantly. This car burns oil like crazy. Since then haven’t had anymore stalls or shut offs.
@@Adivero06 you can get the part on ebay for like 20 bucks and change it yourself or have someone change it for you. I was quoted over a hundred dollars for something that cost 20 bucks and took 15 minutes smh.
2.0 ecotech has timing chain guide failures. Maybe the most important failure of all at around 100000miles. Unless you owned the vehicle its whole life and changed the oil every 4000miles you are at risk for a 7500.00 repair.
1st Generation Cruze is a whole different level of awful. Coolant leaks, PVC Valve gets sucked into the manifold, water pumps, turbo failure ... If you have a 16 or 17 Verano and keep the oil changed they are very dependable.
Me too. I've had nonstop issues. Pretty dangerous ones, like the power steering turning off while driving and the entire dash and screen going out while driving. I am having massive electrical issues at the moment. 2015 verano
2014 buick verano. 85k miles. I've experienced the first 5 problems that you mentioned so far.

2012 and I have the first 3 problems along with the tire pressure light

How do you fix the radio and do a software update?

Is this for the Ecotech 2.4L as well? What year(s) are affected? This model needs serious recalls!

I’m having the radio problem how did you fix that??
@@TaeShounCannonI’m having the same radio issue on my Buick Verano 2014. The dealership wants $200 just to diagnose it. SMH any updates
Did you ever figure out why the radio was malfunctioned? I’m experiencing this problem right now.
I have had to replace the water pump, crankshaft position sensor, solenoids, and now the side detection system went.
What about the plugged pc orifice blowing out seals

How many miles before having to rebuild automatic transmission on 2016 Verano. With 2.4 litre engine?

If it's overheating and then turns off it might be the thermostat sensor..... it happened to me and was a quick fix for about 35 dollars.
Good video he hit them all
Heh, yeah if you omit electric power steeping which I'm almost sure is specific to 2016+ models for some strange reason. 🤦🏻♂️
This was helpful, much appreciated.
My timing just jumped in my 2015 verano. Can this be fixed?
My cars engine is fluttering/shaking when i shut it off
What about the AC it isn’t blowing cool air
Yep, had to replace my ac compressor at 43k miles.
What is #2 ...some type of solenoids I could not understand the audio? What type of solenoids?
Vvt solenoids. I just changed mines it’s a cheap fix
You forgot sunroof not closing fully. Mine's at 66k and the sunroof won't fully close I have to hold down the little net.
Oh I dodged a bullet then! Was gonna trade in my 2016 for sunroof model. Hell I'd probably never open it, or just get tilt.
Mine is stalling out now
Do you have a video of how you switch the shifter plate or how to remove the old one from a Buick Encore???
1,2,5 & 9 are true BUT STILL a very reliable car if managed properly.

wait till your oil start disappearing a month and a half after oil change- empty
