I think the Nolan flics did a lot right, but the original captured that comic book, early industrial era America feel. Also certain shots and mannerisms wouldn't be a thing without Jack Nicholson's version. The dark, doomed feeling that the city was given almost being a character itself started with this movie. Keaton brings an uncertain personality to Bruce's character that I don't think has been matched. Everything else people say is based on the lack of action or CGI, which was limited at that time. I just love this movie!
@@incognito7039 I grew up reading comics (DC, Marvel, Image, Dark Horse), and Batman was one of my favorites. That means Tim Burton's (Williams') version of Two-Face/Harvey Dent would've been off the chain. If he hadn't made Batman Returns so weird and violently dark. And lost the franchise to other directors. *Not saying that's a bad thing, and considering later movies, it really wasn't. In comparison.
Hi Ms. Asia and Mr. BJ, I'm so happy you finally got to see Original Batman Movie Michael Keaton. I really love these original Batman Movie I can't wait for Batman Returns Batman Forever Batman & Robin. You gonna love those movies. I'm growing up watching Batman Movies with My Big Brother. 😊😍❤️

If you want more Prince, watch the music video to BatDance.
The music at the beginning is Danny Elfman. Not only lead singer for Oingo Boingo but he has created some of the most memorable music in pop culture. The Simpsons, Beatle Juice, Men in n Black, Edward Scissorhands, The Nightmare Before Christmas and on and on and on.

Funny enough, I feel like the only thing comparable to it was when 'The Dark Knight' came along....
You gotta do "Batman Returns" next!
This took superhero movies to another level!!
Jack had a blast playing this role
Michael Biehn said on his podcast that Jack had to beat out Robin Williams to get this role. and that Biehn said Keaton won the role of Batman over him... it was the 4 of them that Burton made his final casting choice.
This is the best Batman film and the sequel Batman Returns. Michael Keaton is also the best Batman aswell as Jack Nicholson is the best Joker 🥰 All of Prince's songs are amazing. Party man is my fav, its when the joker is tearing up the museum 😂 The only thing I can't stand, is Kim Basinger's constant screaming 😂
Is that the guy in the Shining? LMAO
Jack Nicholson is one of the greatest actors of all time, wow!
"As Good as it Gets" was a great film, Nicholson has a long rolodex of great films
MC Asia with the rhymes from Gotham 🎤🎤🎤🎤🎤
Christoper Reeve is my Superman and Micheal Keaton will forever be my Batman. And I grew up watching re-runs of the 60's Batman T.V. show! Sorry Adam West. 😋
Batman AND the two coolest reactors on yt?!?!? What a great day this turned out to be!
You guys are great. Usually these channels add nothing but yall put in work, you’ve watched more movies than I have at this point and that’s saying a LOT! So your opinion is super valid even if it’s casual chill takes. And you add a lot with the commentary to give someone the experience that they watched the movie with someone. Keep it up guys! Been watching more and more. Awesome channel!
OOOO SHIII! The original Batman!! Lets go!!! Can’t forget Jack as the the 2nd best joker behind Heath.. such a great film!
i have to respectfully disagree. heath's joker was no where near as good as jack nicholson's joker.
@@eriknewton4656 yup we disagree. I think Heath had the best Joker and Jack had the 2nd best joker. Still both great Jokers
I watch batman at ten years old it was awesome and off the chain.
Billy Dee Williams is the OG Lando Clarrisian in the Star Wars Universe.
Lando Calrissian
Batman (1966) was the first time he'd been put in a movie although there was 2 Batman serialisations shown in cinemas back in the 1940's. 🤔🎥🦇😎🙌👍
Excellent Choice Batman 88 Theme Chef kiss!
Kim Basinger was often unshod because she was way taller than Keaton and Nicholson in heels.
*"Ever dance with the devil by the pale moonlight?" is one of those movie lines that always sticks in your head. And it really feeds into the amount of insanity Jack Nicholson put into playing The Joker.*
*On another note, I would really love to have a Lego set based on the 1989 Batmobile. I got the 1960s TV show Batmobile two Christmases ago as a gift. I love it, but a movie Batmobile would look amazing in my collection too.*
Wait until they get a load of me
Of course you need to watch Batman Returns!
Ever since I was a kid.The beginning of these movies with the scenery and Music always got me
Floating in the clouds. I still get the same feeling now that i'm an old man😂
In most stories it’s not Joker who kills Bruce’s parents it’s a gangster named Joe Chill..they just changed it to Joker for this movie
I still wish we got Billy Dee Williams as Two Face
It's not the same but he is two face in Lego Batman
We might have if WB didn't fumble hard and axe Tim Burton.
We have that Batman '89 comic at least.
if burton had done a 3rd batman movie Billy Dee Williams and Robin Williams would have been the villains as Two-face and riddler respectively. (Robin Williams was a finalist to play Joker.)
Asia: “I’m sorry momma.. I never meant to hurt you..”
I saw this movie at the age of 6. Batman (1989) is the reason why I fell in love movies. Great reaction! 👍🏿
This is my favorite Batman. I can’t tell you how many times I watched this as a kid in the 90s
At 34:40 Beetlejuice comes out 😂
9:17 Porkins! ...with a dubbed voice.
18:14 Those bizarre surgical tools were props made for Steve Martin in The Little Shop of Horrors (1986)
I heard that the reason why Prince was involved in this film is because Jack Nicholson was a huge fan. He kept asking and asking for Prince to do the soundtrack, and they relented.
Unfortunately, Billy Dee Williams will be recast with Tommy Lee Jones in Batman Forever.
If you want more Prince, watch the music video to BatDance.
Ya, it was likely 50 calibre anti vehicle round
26:26 That's because nobody is using grooming products because the Joker tainted them all with Smilex poison. 😂😂😂
YESSSSSSSS!!!!!!🦇 this is THE GREATEST Batman movie ever made!!! Period! Y'all can TRY to argue with me all you want but this one and Batman Returns with Michelle and Christopher Walken and Danny are the greatest ever. Point blank. Cut the tape. Done. Lol PS .......I've never fallen asleep at the movies😐 not ever. I'm even sorry for your Momma. Asia, you're terrible.😂😂😂😂😂✌️🤣
You need to watch “The Batman” with Robert Pattinson after finishing up with Michael Keaton’s Batman movies
“He’s Cajun black” 😂😂😂
Asia!!! Your voice is so beautiful! 🤩
The opening credits scene of this movie is better than all of the recycled reboot crap Hollywood has been spitting out lately.
You guys gotta react to One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
You guys should react to The Penguin show. It's one of the best comic shows of all time.
I really enjoy the comic book aesthetic of Gotham in this movie.
oh bj they made a movie with Adam west batman it had all 4 bad guys.
‘It’s Japanese..’
How do you know that?…
‘Because I bought it in Japan…’
One of the most underrated lines in this movie
There have been many, many Batman films. Chistopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy is just another version of Batman.
This was one of the first Batman movies, at least to me. Adam West will always be my favorite Batman.
