  • Join Sandy and Dawn (the prawn) in search of information about a historic local 'character' - Harry 'Brusher' Mills - 'The Snakecatcher of Brockenhurst' We start at The Snakecatcher Pub in Brockenhurst which was a favourite of Harry's, when it was called the Railway Inn. We are welcomed by Tom and then wander round inside looking at all the Harry Brusher Mills memorabilia including wonderful photographs. After that, we then make the short walk to Harry's final resting place at St Nicholas' Churchyard, Brockenhurst, which is marked with a picturesque marble headstone . Then it's back to the Snakecatcher pub for a delicious lunch in their garden...
Our thanks to Marko, Tom and Matt for making us so welcome. A wonderful pub, with wonderful staff and lots of history.
Here's the link to our 'Dessie the train' film, as mentioned in this vlog:

Great video! I thought he caught snakes to provide food for the King Cobras at London Zoo, as they only ate snakes, not rodents, etc.
