Looks and Sounds absolutely amazing! From one CB owner to another. I have a 500 I'm doing right now using a Honda Shadow rear half for a mono shock suspension. I just lowered the front forks by making the spacers and cutting the springs. But I've already jetted the carbs up for running basically open exhaust like you did and I'm always looking for new and different sounds! Yours does sound amazing though! nice.brings me back to the 80`s.i had a 71 chopped hardtail 6inch extended forks drag pipes vel.stacks and a 76 supersport vel.stacks 4 into 1 kerker pipe.the sohc engine was very popular i seen a coffee table made with 2 engines.

I'm asking because I'm wanting to have something built like this for me and the wife
If you don’t do a lot of the work yourself it can get very costly very fast. On this bike he did some pretty extensive work by chopping the back of the frame off and making it into a hardtail. If you want to make one look like this you’ll have to take the whole bike apart so I’d suggest finding one for 1000 or less and when you take it apart repaint and refinish everything and maybe even rebuild the top end.

It has already been made into a cafe racer, and eventually I want to customize it even more to my liking. I hope to make it into a real performer one day, but it's gonna be tough as there are practically no performance parts I've found other than carbs. I was also raised on Harleys and (real) Indians so going to a Honda 4 cylinder is quite new to me. I'm told that 4-1 (what's on my bike now) is marginally better than 4-2, but I just love the look of a custom 4-2 and I think it'll sound a little better too. I might possibly make a 4-1-2 with an X in the exhaust up front, but I think when I change it I'm gonna go 4-2. Idk, I'm looking for inspiration now.👍
The cb750 has three down tubes, I only use the center one when I modified the frame. There is a link to a build thread in one of these other comments if you want to see the frame.
Hey man I have the same exhuast on my cb... My question is..... What is your carb setup as far as jets, main and slow, valve seat size and float needle size...... Did you custom your exhuast or buy it?
Brandon Tafoya unfortunately I don't know anymore, bike has been in storage for to long now, tuning these is a big pain. These pipes were a gift and run cyl 2-3 to one side and 1-4 to the other, very unique. I need to get out again and get it ready tuned. I'll post another video of I ever get that done
what did you do about the battery situation? i notice a small electrical box above the rear engine mount. did you fit the battery, reg/rec,starter solenoid and everything else in there??

A friend gave me the pipes, they came off an earlier one (73 I think) so I cut and welded the flanges to fit mine. Pretty sure they used to make them back in the 80s but I haven't seen any modern ones. It doesn't look like a home built but like a company produced them if that helps.

I built it myself with used parts so cost was low, any number I give would be vastly different from any company/shop built one

What modification is needed in order to mount that sportster tank on a CB750?

what your looking at is actually the battery, I built a box under the engine/frame for reg/rec/fuse

The idle is set too high on one of your carbs, that is why the idle stays up after you close the throttle, bike sounds good though. Looks nice too.
Either that, or slightly too small idle jets.
What bike is the tank off of and did you stretch the back out a few inches ?
