"Honey, I'm Home" is such the perfect song for Danny's vocals and it just turns me to mush every time.
The "Shine A Light" performance was not recorded from a video call; you can get such good quality off a zoom call. Danny was the production genius who put together the video. He created the arrangement, had the guys record their individual parts, then combined them all for the end result.

You need to watch Danny on the UK masked singer, he was Piranha, he is amazing. Hopefully you get to come for their 21st Birthday Bash concert. I hope you manage to get tickets, I'll be there. So excited.
A few others have said this, and I totally agree: you should defintely check out Danny on the Masked Singer (Piranha), even if you don't react to it. I've been a fan of McFly since 5 colours, and his performances were just a reminder of why I've been such a huge fan of them for all these years!
Doggie joined the band when he was 15. He has grown and developed over 20 years, like I can't believe. This band are always overlooked because, in my opinion, they are good-looking. The press media in the UK frequently refers to McFly as, "a boy band". This is dismissive and derogatory. They are excellent musicians and performers, and it's good to know that other musicians recognise that.
Power to Play is their latest era, so Honey I’m Home is from summer 2023 🤘
The way Tom phrased his runs connects the emotion to his singing & merges them - makes it feel more genuine, like he's just following where the emotion is taking his voice.

Love hearing you say dougie is a good bass player!!! SAY IT LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK!!!! He always says hes bad and while I don’t know much about bass guitars or bass lines or literally anything about bass Ive always thought he was great and before listening to mcfly I couldnt identify where the bass was in songs, all I would hear is drums and electric guitar but with mcfly they often have such good bass lines and highlight the bass on quite a few songs (too close for comfort, lies, honey I’m home) and dougie always plays them solidly live

Have seen quite some Mcfly reactions of you now. Seems like you haven't come across their Song Dragonball yet. Perfect singing (together) of Danny and Tom (als always) but there's an acapella part with Dougie (all three of them) which i love. There are two vids to Dragonball, I am referring to the one in the same setup as in this video. Don't know if they are in their practicing studio there or what. But love all those clips.
Shine a light, the mcfly only version played over the speaker at a Bealls outlet store in Louisville last weekend and I was so excited. I never hear mcfly while out shopping. I sang along like a fan with no cares who stared cause it has never happened before.

I’m a middle aged, white heterosexual bloke from Derby right in the middle of England and I am besotted to the point of being slightly obsessed with McFly.
I have been a mediocre guitarist since the age of 13 and grew up on Appetite for Destruction, the Metallica black album, Pantera, Skid Row etc. but there’s something about this band that totally engages me.
If I was in a band this would be the band I would want to be in! Personalities and tunes alike.
