True. It was downright disrespectful how Mclaren treated Alonso as compared to Lewis. They put all their eggs into the golden boy basket, and what does he do in return? Wins a championship and f*cks off. I think McLaren deserved what came to them later
Lewis Hamilton's rookie season with McLaren in 2007 was remarkable. He finished third in the championship, tied on points with his teammate Fernando Alonso and just one point behind the champion, Kimi Räikkönen. Hamilton achieved four wins, several pole positions, and consistently competed at the front throughout the season. Although Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso finished level on points, Hamilton was classified ahead of Alonso in the standings due to having more second-place finishes. Very British. Very sad journalism. Not being honest. Not telling the entire story. Make a video about who lewis disrespects, especially in the early years of his career. This kind of journalism makes me sick. Goodbye...
I am a huge Lewis fan. I've never really cheered for him and I was happy when Nico won because I thought he disserved a championship. But I find Lewis is generally very polite and generous with his comments. He didn't launch into a bashing tirade when his 8th championship was clearly stolen from him and there is no arguing he's probably the only one who can compete car to car with Max right now, although George and Charles are very close. I'm an Aston Martin fan and I'll be cheering for them this year but I'd sure like to see Lewis win his 8th.
Stolen? After all the help he and mercedes got from fia and the stewards? If he was punished based on what he did instead of who he is (an Englishman who's been the darling of the English F1 press), he wouldn't have been in a position to go up for the title in the last race; he would've been out of the competition. And the rules were followed by race leader Masi, otherwise they didn't have to change them afterwards. The only reason that Masi was fired was that whining wolff threatened to pull out of f1, which would have decimated the grid. And no, he can't compete. The Latifi-crash was after the holding up Hamilton by Perez. That means that Perez’s famous helping Max was of no influence whatsoever to the outcome of the race. What helped Max was the removal of the lapped cars between him and Lewis. This made it possible for Max to be directly behind Lewis with fresh tires.

Schumacher was a cheat, he shouldn’t be a 7x world champion. He was involved in several incidents that were considered unsportsmanlike and controversial. One notable incident in the 1994 season when Schumacher collided with Damon Hill at the Australian Grand Prix, resulting in both drivers retiring from the race. This collision secured Schumacher's first World Championship title, Schumacher in my opinion should have been ripped of the Championship for cheating. In the 1997 season, Schumacher was involved in another controversial incident with Jacques Villeneuve during the final race in Jerez, Spain. Schumacher attempted to take out Villeneuve's car in an attempt to prevent him from scoring enough points to win the championship. Schumacher's attempt failed, and he was subsequently disqualified from the championship standings. He’s a cheat that what he is.
It seems to me that a good solution for F1 would be to say that they only pay the top ten teams. Any team that finishes lower get no money. Reject that Toto.

When it comes to Alonso. In 2007 Ron Dennis always had in mind that his Lewis Hamilton would win the championship, not Alonso. Alonso often had to make way, even if he was in the lead. When Alonso held Lewis up in Hungary, Ron Dennis fuming with rage went to Alonso's fysio to ask about that. At McLaren no other driver was allowed a victory if it meant Lewis wouldn't win in the eyes of Ron Dennis.
And by the way - Alonso said a "different Lifestyle" - you read "a different style. That's a failure if you want any respect as a journalist, reporter or editor.

@UntoldF1 You very conveniently omitted the truth behind Hungaroring 2007 when Hamilton deliberately denied Fernando Alonso the latter's turn to burn off fuel prior to qualifying. As renown journalists of the sport have summarised, it was a double-cross and it started the chain of events that day which arguably extended to the rest of their eventual relationship. I wonder why? Needless to say I shan't be subscribing nor looking in again.
So many people talk about Senna as a racing God, perhaps rightfully so but he had his flaws too and another thing, if you must separate Senna, Schumi and Ham, well like it or not but it must be said that only 1 in that group actively took a decision to leave a winning formula to join a SF on a serious downslope. Yes had the argument with many and especially Brits, no disrespect but it is true nevertheless no matter how you may feel about that reality. Senna too just like Ham did seek the winning formula and his move to Mercedes was not at all like he propose it to have been in media when asked about it. It was in fact another Brit, one that I personally have got a ton of respect for that persuaded Ham to go join Mercedes, Ross Brawn made that happen. Ross convinced Ham about the resources they put into development of the new rule change and Merc surely did not throw everything at it, they did not turn invincible just cause they had more good engineers onboard even though they bought up a lot of them, who else ran 2 engine concepts before the rules where set? People need to stop being naive and realize a lot is about being connected, powerful, able to throw their weight around, influence. Then when FIA lock down the rules quite hard and you're a miles ahead the result will be what we saw, Schumi abandon that card willingly to try to rebuild something terribly broken, similar to what Mercedes had post 2014, mad respect for that kind of bravery when all you care about it winning and the clock is ticking with no insurance of anything. Senna tried hard to flip between Mclaren and Williams, he was unlucky that Williams lost their technical advantage and ended up in a difficult passive suspension car in 1994. All 3 amazing drivers in their own right, technical and great yet different and mad respect to all 3, just think Schumi get the bad end of the stick too many times by simplified arguments not based in reality when imho he took a braver decision than the others. That Mercedes was going to make it to at least provide a fighting chance was given imho and Ham left a team on the downslope, the new era coming was pretty obvious for those with eyes to see and ears to hear.
Working and competing with Hamilton and up to some level with mercedes is obviously toxic. Personal trainers, team mates, opponents, officials, girlfriends, opinions, politics and Lewis's his own mindset all had their fair share of drama and abuse in the last few years. Like all of the others probably come from pretty wealthy families and so on, meanwhile Hamilton had to be pretty ruthless and focused to get to F1. I mean for example with how much time and money his father invested into his racing career if Hamilton had failed he would've let down his entire family financially. So when you consider that his mindset was probably shaped in that way I don't think it should come as a surprise that he keeps thing pretty distanced. At the end of the day it clearly worked and I think people should just watch the racing and leave drivers and their personal lives alone lol.

You very conveniently omitted the truth behind Hungaroring 2007 when Hamilton deliberately denied Fernando Alonso the latter's turn to burn off fuel prior to qualifying. As renown journalists of the sport have summarised, it was a double-cross and it started the chain of events that day which arguably extended to the rest of their eventual relationship.
I wonder why?
Needless to say I shan't be subscribing nor looking in again.
You won't be missed!
So youre just going to ignore all yhe horseshit Hamilton was doing to Alonso BEFORE he made him wait in the pits?
Maybe its because everyone realises Lewis's may not be as talented as they thought and Lewis fitted a certain woke "picture".
Thats why Fernando, Lando, Charles and Max are probably loved more by the current generation and in particular the non-brits, as with them its only about racing.
The last few years the barrage of mercedes and Lewis drama's just look silly, childish and suspect.
But hey ... the british bias needs controversy to fill the "papers" and like Brexit, all brits just believe what their papers say.
