Captain: nothing on radar
Spotter: but there is sound of turbo whisle
: Captain: you must Be dreaming, go to bed
Kind of reminds me of McHale's Navy.
I never get tired of watching this video. I’m getting my fix of fast moving floaters & diesel fumes....
Has more raw horse power than a Union Pacific big boy locomotive which weighs 1,000,000 pounds. You do the math. It's a water rocket!
crazy for sure. The tractive effort exerted by the Big Boy is the real deal breaker. But these boats are not quite the 7000 HP range. thats about where the tractive effort of the big boy is. Yes "I been working on the railroad for the past 45 years. was also in the navy for 4. these boats are so very beautiful and heart warning to hear and see.
That engine lighting up....UN. BE. LIEVE. A. BLE!!!! That is the definition of BAD-ASS!!!
Totally agree, the startup sequence is kind of hell waking up from a deep sleep.
I think these Swedish boats were equiped by Italian Isotta Franchini W18 diesel engines. Extreme powerfull 18 cylinder engines with 3x 6 cylinder inline banks in W configuration and commonrail high pressure injection. And multiple turbo's with watercooled intercoolers and supercharger. Outstanding engenering, even nowadays
That is one crazy fast thing. Just when you think he's full throttle, there's more
What manufacturer are the engine's sound like Detroit's????
@@chuckrogers2480 CRM motori, Italian diesels.
Captain to helm...Time go faster.
Were at full throttle sah
Time to go....balls deep...
Weeeeee
Wow, thought it was full steam, then the engine gets cranked! 3:30
@@hgodtx and at 5:00 you have even more;)
10:56 that turbo whine, damn
It's not that they are loud, all turbos are loud. There is just no exhaust restrictions on sea going military vessels, and the sound reflects off the bow spray and water surface so it seems louder
Sounds like a jet air plane across the top of the water would love to hear it coming and going hell riding on the boat as well love it !!
I love how you edit the wind noise out 👍🏼
8:20 Kind of menacing to watch this thing destroy any wake in its path, basically unaffected by the water.
Stunning in every respect, pure music to my ears, I love the way it swims so beautifully, hull design is great.
Fifty freakin' knots in a wooden crate. That's insane.
Wood?
I’m a boat pilot by trade, riverboats in the 5,000 to 6,000 hp range of towboats, we push barges, sometimes 1,000 ft long. Man I would love to pilot a PT boat. That would be smokin bad ass!!
Båtporr när den är som bäst.
