    It's 2021, and I recently got a secondhand 750D for a good price (because I'm broke and mirrorless/brand new cams are but a dream). Initially, I am terrified of handling a camera until my college program got serious with photography and filmmaking, and that's when I knew I had to move on from my phone camera and actually learn how to handle an actual camera. Now, I'm in the stage of learning everything I can about photog and cinematog, as well as my Canon, so I just wanna thank you for this video, as it is still relevant after 6 years.

      If it was 300 dollars, you can sell it and buy a Sony ZV1F by saving up a little then buying the ZV1F from MPB

    Great video! I actually used yours among others to make my decision to purchase a t T6i :) I was wondering if you could shed some light on the autofocusing. I love that the T6i has this feature, but it seems to have a mind of it's own. If I move at all it changes making for some very shifty footage. (Ex: 2:43 mark on my Hello Cover video/it wont let me link it here :/).
    Do you know of any way to "calm down" the autofocus? I don't ever want to be out of focus compeltely, but it shifting so much is quite annoying.
    Thanks in advance for any tips you might have! :)

    Wow thank you! Would love to see the custom white balance that you use for indoor video. I also have the 18-55mm stock lens and was wondering if upgrading my lens would improve video quality? If so, what lens would work best for my T6i for the type of filming seen in your videos portrait style introduction? 0:00 to 0:12

  • @jonno1607
    @jonno1607 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    the camera stops recording around 29 mins as it's set that way,in order for longer recording you restart it to continue your video.Use class 10 or above for recordings sdxc is better,I would use a decent lens with (is) and STM,you could buy stereo mic for best sound direction,if you mount on tripod turn (is) off.use good light as well so the focus has less chance to hunt or breathing.

    I have virtually no video experience. I purchased a Cannon EOS T6i in Spring of 2017. The kit came with standard lens and a larger one, a bunch of gadgets, but no external microphone. I want to record my wife's pipe organ recital in two weeks. Since there are pipes all spread out around the auditorium, the best place to record the subject is not necessarily the best location to record the culmination of the music produced by the pipes. Any suggestions for an external microphone. I suppose I could have two cameras if I used my IPhone as one of them, and then insert the best audio below a culmination of videos in IMovie.

  • @deezy7811
    @deezy7811 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Is there any video out there of this camera with the kit 18-135mm lens testing out motor noise for autofocusing? That's all I care about and I can't find 1 video that answers that. I know Nikon d5300 is loud as shit when finding focus.

    • @deezy7811
      @deezy7811 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      People probably say, "just use an on board mic". My question to them would be, "have you ever used a Nikon in live view for video even with a external mic?" You still have the camera lens motor. Ruins your video

    Hi! So I was just watching your video (also saw the one in which you compare the t5i vs. t6i), and I have a question. Is there a real difference in the noise that can come up in the image when making video. For example does the t6i has less noise with ISO 6,400 than the t5i or not really? I'm buying one of those but haven't decided yet. I'll appreciate you answer :)

    • @harleyfillmore5101
      @harleyfillmore5101 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      it has one stop better nose performance then the t5i so ISO 6,400 on the T6i would look just as good as the T5i at ISO 3,200

    • @mollyclark7785
      @mollyclark7785 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you're in America, check out the Canon EOS Rebel T6i Video Creator Kit on Amazon. For editing, try Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or Sony Vegas. (It depends on your personal preference and which software you find to be the easiest for you to use) To keep your videos high quality when uploading to TH-cam, it all depends on the settings you used when you were filming, for example, 1080p 60fps, etc. And it may also depend on how you edit/render your videos. You'd have to do some research though. I hope this helped! :)

    Can the t6i record videos in 1080p? When I record with it and upload to youtube the highest quality I ever get is 720p!

    Do you know how to fix the Lens Not Attached message? I have a Canon Rebel T6i and just purchased a Vivitar 500mm F/8.0 Telephoto lens. When I try to change aperture, I have an f00 showing and it says I cannot change aperture due to the lens not being attached (but the telephoto lens is attached). I'm searching through all of my menu screens, but cannot find how to shoot without a lens option in my Custom settings. Can anyone please help? Thank you!
