- I thought I'd make a review for this camera after owning it for 8 years! I think it's a fantastic camera and even now in 2023, still worth purchasing :)

I’d say this camera is perfect for that!
This was my first camera. It's an excellent choice for a beginner, or as a backup. Its 24 mp sensor is more than adequate, and it's capable of taking excellent images.

Hey man is there any big difference between 700D and 750D as it has 18mp and 24 mp does it have a huge difference between the photos

This video made me buy used one. Paid like 430€ for a camera, 2 lenses (18mm- 55mm, 55mm - 250mm), bag, additional battery with external charger and a tripod.
After I took few pictures I instantly fell in love. It has everything that beginner could ever need. Thank you for the video!

I shoot Fujifilm now however my first camera last year was a Canon 80D and I used it with the ef-s 17-55mm F2.8 and honestly that setup made some of my favourite pictures so far and I miss it dearly, that lens was amazing.

I've had a 750D for 7 years along with a 18-135mm lens which stays on the camera all the time. I have considered what camera to purchase as a replacement when the time comes. I'm a hobby photographer and only shoot in JPEG also full frame is out of my price bracket. It is genuinely a hard camera to replace, spec wise etc it's a great amateurs DSLR. Becky has done the camera justice in this vid. For a modern mirrorless equivalent, expect a price tag of around £1000.00.
I definitely agree! I am wanting to upgrade so I can do more slow mo-video and a higher frame rate for wildlife photography, but I am finding it hard to find a camera to upgrade to! As you say it is a hard camera to replace!

Just got one online 2nd hand... had to fix the slow rising flash (several vids here address it) and it's GREAT. The WIFI works well enough but is only for shooting ... can't do much on the settings. WIFI range is pretty good! I have mine with a dummy battery hooked up to it and protected to shoot wildlife, litterbugs, gate security, surprise shots at functions, etc. Lot's of fun! Two lenses and the camera for $350 USD. Deals to be had now.

This is a great used camera for the money. As a beginner or just an occasional photographer, you won't be disappointed. I just bought the t6s. I love it.

Great review! The pictures are amazing and the voice is very soothing. Worth noting that the older models (700D and 650D) can shoot 5k videos via Magic Lantern. Can be had for cheap (for now) and arguably better than the EOS M which already shot up in price because of ML crop mood.

Great video. Likewise had the camera a while since 2016, got it for my 18th birthday and my dad got a 750D a few months earlier using some gift voucher he got for being at his job for 25 years or something and then I wanted my own.
I've always sort of gravitated to being the photographer / videographer in the family, recording us singing happy birthday each year and things like that so I guess that's where my own photography story starts, don't know about yourself. I've just got a RX100 VII so that I can maybe shoot some concerts from the crowd and build a little portfolio to use either in videos or a blog site and then maybe I'll get noticed to take part in the photo pit etc for shows I would otherwise miss

I was thinking of buying this camera for my fimmaking but i ended up with a Canon M50 and a F ton of accessories for it XD. I do believe this is still a good camera though. Also this is a great review, keep it up. It helps a lot of folks

this camera has reversable display kinda thingy. Doesn't it gonna broke in a little while because of reversing it all the times? Ppl in comments recommend the camera but what about time of usage?

I'm still using this camera with a 24mm pancake lens and I love it, but I'm considering upgrading to a sony (a7cii), but I'll keep the Canon as I have too many good lenses 😊

Do you think it would be a good upgrade from the T2i?
Yes I would say so. The 750D has more megapixels, faster fps, touchscreen, more focus points, compared to the T2i/550D. So overall I would say it would be a good upgrade 😊
@@beckybokeh So i got a bit of money and thinking about if i should upgrade the camera or buy a new lens. I have the 50mm F1.8, kitlen, 55-250mm ( which i use the most ) but i’m so fed up with switching lenses all the time. So i’m planning to buy the Tamron 16-300mm. I’m a very casual user, so i don’t see the need for professional gear. I don’t even use social media, i only take picture to keep the memories because i like documenting my life via texts and pictures and videos. The 550D that i have is okay, but the video lack auto focus system and it’s quite annoying. The T6I will fix the issue but i only have some amount of money 😢. What do you think? Should I upgrade the camera or get the len?
Struggling alot at the moment. I'm trying to get back into the dslr world. I was looking at a a7ii but 500+ is quite alot for me preowned. And I mean I wouldn't have money for this month if I got it. And I'm trying to find something that I can get into semi professional without breaking the bank and this has really upped this camera on my list of candidates.
I’d recommend checking out mpb.com they have lots of pre-owned cameras, and I’d always recommend the 750D it’s a truly great camera :)
I try to photograph Products & Insect Macro, Small Wildlife, Portraits, Architecture & Landscape; as a beginner with Olympus OM-D EM1 MK1 and want to try out Canon's offerings.
Just a quick question Becky, in 2024 would you buy a Canon 750D with both the EFS 18-55mm & Canon EF 50mm F1.8 STM Lenses for £290 OR buy the Canon 200D, Canon EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM & Canon EF 50mm F1.8 STM for £400.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, love your photography and soft relaxing voice 😍
I’ve never used the 200D but I personally have the 750D, 18-55 and 50mm 1.8 and I would recommend those ! :)

I ended up getting the 200D + 50 1.8 STM with the K&F FD - EOS Adapter plus some FD Primes: (28 f2.8) (35 f2.8) (50 f1.8) (100 f2.8) (135 f2.8) Primes for £500 all in. Just loving the Canon experience. Still on the look out for a second cam that will have weather sealing 😊 Your video has really helped me with deciding on what to buy, as I found it so difficult & confusing to decide via other canon TH-cam videos. Thank you so much ❤and I'll be watching more of your videos 😁

The 750D or the 250D/200D would be suitable for you definitely! :) I’d recommend comparing the specs of the 3 cameras online

Why my external flash doesn't work in mode live view? Do you have any setting for it?
I am considering getting an old dslr as the prices of both bodies and lenses are pretty cheap. I want to get into birding and the price of getting a long zoom for my Panasonic is out of reach financially.
I use a sigma 150-600 with my canon 750d for wildlife and birds and have got some nice shots with it, maybe that is something to consider :)
I think the new cameras are nice but it's like cell phones and computers, these new cameras right now can only get a little much better instead of a lot better. If you want a a really nice newest camera now, wait for about 4 or 5 years and you'll be able to buy them much cheaper. Cameras depreciate in value quickly. I'm talking about good entry type level cameras.

can i use the camera all day without charging the battery or replacing another battery when dong some photography?
I would say the batteries last 2 hours/ 2 and a half hours - so you may need to change the battery if you are shooting all day or alternatively you could have 2 or 3 with you that would last you all day
hey, is the optical viewfinder (pentamirror) good or bad ?
It’s very good!
I tried the sony's A6400 viewfinder and compared it with the T6i, the T6i's viewfinder is clearer than the sony's. The sony's viewfinder is kinda blueish.
I've had the 650D before, but I'm buying this in 2023 with 3 lens and shutter count 6000 for 300£ 😂 plus a battery grip and will get a 50mm 1.8.that will do for some nice prints and memories. Better than phones
£300 is a good price! Along with the 50mm 1.8 you will get some beautiful shots, and as you say much better than a phone! 😊 what other lenses are you purchasing?
@@beckybokeh I have bought it the other day and received the whole package : camera body, battery grip, 2 original batteries, 18-55mm kit lens, 55-250zoom lens, 28-80mm, 2x kenko teleplus for 345£. So ended up selling the 28-80mm, 18-55mm and the teleconverter and bought myself a 50mm 1.8 and a 24mm 2.8 and kept the 55-250mm. With spare money bought all the rest of gear such as camera bag, memory card and card reader, tripod, VND filter and intervalometer. Perhaps I've spend total 600£ if so 🤷🏻♂️ seems a great deal 😂😂
