Amazing m8t great to see a father and daughters out in the woods spending quality time together learning skills passing the knowledge down threw to the young ones . Having a seven year old daughter myself I seem a lot more , as you said " enthusiastic " about introducing her to bushcraft/ camping than she is . Anyway cracking vid keep em coming . Cheers

Well done on the video, and well done to you for teaching them properly. Intelligent young ladies with manners who obviously enjoy the outdoors.

That's bloody brilliant! I might have to pinch that idea and see about putting together a couple of kits for my girls. But they're not nearly as excited about going to the woods as your girls are.

Thanks for the info. Now that my son is 6 we are going to teach him how to use most of the items in his new emergency bag . We survive Hurricane Irma and was as prepared as can be. Thanks to our emergency bags. I had to use a lot of my item during that emergency. I'm now working on new bags.

Excellent, I've been doing the same for my three boy's, but the kits are not complete as yet, seeing your girls kits has inspired me to get them done.

fantastic kit for the kids, nothing to drastic but easy enough for them to survive. The only thing i would add would be a water filter. ATB

Dear animaltendencies, I came across your videos by coincidence, my boyfriend watches you non-stop and after seeing your some of your videos I'm hooked. I love the outdoors but what kept me watching was your fantastic transitions / graphics and visual effects. This is not a joke, please believe me - I think they give every video character and make them a joy to watch.

Good to see family pictures in the kits. I have made this comment on other channels for both kids and adults. If someone has serious trauma and can no longer speak or if your family becomes separated those pics may help emergency responders reunite your family members.

It’s good that your kids are outdoor kids and they don’t like to just sit watching youtube all day.

Brilliant vid' Mick . great to see the enthusiasm the girls have for the gear, learning its use, and generally engaging with the woods/outdoors. Just as good to see them learning and rhearsing skills that don't need a games controller to be able to do so .
Worth a moment or two to just contemplate the fact you have these times digitally stored so they will be able to share them with their families when they also pass the ways on .

The cacophony of their gawps when you said "shall we go to the woods" was priceless. Fantastic example of parenthood and i might add a retreat to simpler times when kids were allowed to have fun with "the old man". Good to see lad. Keep them coming. Cheers Moose from Oz.

    mate that was something else.
great idea - ill have to do the same for my 2 one of these days.
elsa is 18 months and annabelle is 3
its so cool seeing kids have fun outdoors
how about making them a lightweight basha each?
they can put there own names on them :)
if you can get those army self inflating mats for them too - they are 3/4 length for us but full length for them, they can be strapped under the pack on the outside - weighs nothing - rough dimensions are 9" x 4" - this will keep them warm on the floor and 2nd use in the hammock chair to keep the chill of when a bit windy.
really good to see you guys out again mate

I noticed that you used full containers of hand sanitizer and toothpaste, have you consider giving them smaller portions? Nalgene makes bottle kits that would work very well for trimming a few lbs (or kilos/grams in your case). And if you wanted to cut down on the bulk of those sleeping bags I'd swap them for a lighter weight bag and a liner. So you can remove the liner if it's kinda cold or just use the bivy and liner for warm weather trips. Otherwise greatidea!

I for sure have my son overloaded. this will sure help me lighten him up a lot and means I stay humping all the essentials like a pack mule. lol. is there room for some kind of small cook kit to add to the bag when your girls are ready to take on those tasks?

maybe some sort of flavoring for their wild sourced water. some of those purification tablets can have a nasty aftertaste.

sounds like you already know about Nitrates and Nitrites in water. They are not friendly for a girl child or women in child bearing ages.
