These dolls are gorgeous and I will be collecting them all. My only problem with reveal dolls like these, especially becoming so popular, is that we're ending up a lot of plastic junk. I don't know if a lot of people will keep the bottles after the experience and that just feels really wasteful. I would be interested to see brands that are using this element either make the water feature part an actually compelling toy after the reveal is done or figure out a more green-friendly way of doing these reveals.
This. I love these dolls so much, ever since they were first revealed I knew I wanted to collect them... but knowing that they come with a bunch of plastic I'm never gonna use again makes me way less likely to get them.
Exactly. They do the reveal thing because they make great commercials and TH-cam videos. Lots of kids love watching toy unboxing videos. It's not just the plastic waste. The added weight of the unnecessary plastic and the unnecessary liquid pouches means you use more fuel when transporting them. Weight affects fuel consumption. I would rather see a company advertise how green their packaging is. How about making the reveal as a dissolveable compound like those packing peanuts made of corn? Mattel uses those packing peanuts. I just put them in the sink and run water over them to dissolve them. Why can't that be what they use? They could dye it with water safe dyes and instruct you to put them under running water. You get the reveal without the plastic waste. Only issue is the doll getting wet, so they may have to put plastic around the doll or a waterproof bag that could be reused by the person who purchased it.
it's so sad to me that they got rid of so many cool toy because of plastic waste but then still waste plastic with all those blindbag toys :( I miss when happy meal toys were good
They're too cute. This is what Enchantimals should have been. I don't mind the molded tops too much because it reminds me of Shoppies which I also liked, but if these were Monster High sized with full fabric outfits that'd be amazing.

OMG i am so shocked they sent you a Unia!! every other video i've seen so far, creators have gotten Deerlee and Merena, but not Unia! i was convinced they weren't sending her out for some reason. so cool to finally see her! also i loved the intro, and how you kinda kept messing up with the potions a bunch, followed by the reveal that you had in fact dropped out of wizard school 🤣😂
Moose toys made shopkins shoppies which all basically had molded on tops ( that weren’t half bad) so this makes sense that they would do it for these dolls. I also think it maybe done so there’s less fabric that could get damaged by the potion?
These dolls are super cute. I'm amazed at the faceups, there's so much detail, the style looks more custom than factory. BTW, I think I know what went wrong. I don't think you pressed down hard enough on the top gem. I've been kind of obsessively watching people open these since last night and when it worked the top gem went much further down and kind of clicked.

You clearly put a lot of effort into the reviews you do, I can tell you try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt when something goes wrong and give them the best chance you can. You aren't the only reviewer that had problems with this. I hope there's a way to fix it before release.
The faces are so gorgeous! They look more like customs than a playline release. I really hope they’re able to release more. I’m definitely getting them! I kinda wish the deer one was green instead of coral pink, but she’s adorable anyway. Marina is so my favorite.

This is exactly the whimsy so many dolls are missing now. The themeing is amazing. The colors. The nostalgic shiny clear plastics. I love Unia's stars, but Merina is by far my favorite as a teal lover. I'm excited to see customs come out of these too. If they make full size versions of these, that would be amazing.
It's nice to see that even when this is a gimmigy reveal toy, they really worked hard to be able to offer a nice quality play-line doll. Remember those "rescue" pet blush toys that you had to wash and dry to reveal? Unlike these dolls, the blushies themselves were crappy quality.
I'm really intrigued by these dolls but I cannot justify the price point for me, especially as someone who has no interest in the potion unboxing experience. I think I'll be on the lookout for them at thrift stores though!
Agreed! With knee articulation they would be perfect! Really hope they make older version too and are successful enough to keep making new characters. Definitely gonna snag the Deer one💜

I’m literally so excited for these dolls I think they will display nicely next to Novi stars they seem similar in size. I think you needed to push harder on the handle and that would have made the water clear but I only think that after watching other people do it and you really have to put strength into it. These are cute though I don’t like the reveal gimmick. Especially with how messy it is with all the potions and water being involved. I know you can probably just pull them out and skip all the steps beforehand but that feels like a waste of money to me and I don’t really like buying things secondhand. Still, great review as always. Looking forward to seeing you go over more of these in the future.

You are my second unboxing video of these dolls and the other is a deer character. These remind me of enchantimals by thier size and design. Very cute dolls. The fill line is why the water leaked inside I would love to see marena headswap with original Laguna body And the pegasus swapped with g3 Laguna body or a g1 pink body. Then they wouldn't be as short and cute but they'd be more posable. I'd like to see what a doll customizer would do with them as they do really have such cute face sculpt and ears. Marena gem is more like a pearl and then the other is a star like a pegasus flying through the stars and clouds
Apparently there are a little projects you can do afterward, that's what the QR code was. We personally, I will be making the bottle into a display that I can put her inside of almost like a terrarium.

The dolls are cute, but like some others have said, I really hate these plastic waste packaging issues. Not only is there a lot of plastic crap to go into the landfills and even the oceans, the liquid adds to the weight of the product. That means more fuel is burned to transport it since the vehicles' fuel use also involves the weight of the vehicle. All this plastic and the liquid is so unnecessary. I think a lot of companies now make these dolls specifically for TH-camrs because kids watch for the unboxing experience. The unboxing sells the toys when it should be the toys selling the toys.

They aren't in stores yet but I didn't realize you can order and the unicorn was cute but I decided I didn't like the fur texture much so I went with the deer! She's cute and i think she matches my personality the most. I do still plan on getting the other two mixies and some more cave club dolls but for my first i went with the deer!)
I don't really like the sculpted clothes. They look better on Merina but no Unia. Its a shame because Unia is my fav. I like the potion box but not the potion making.

Personally these are cheaper than Monster High. They could’ve easily made these over $40. $18 for all that is a STEAL.
