The newest instalment of my Wizard101 series in which I am going to play through all the worlds and then rank them. There is some cut up funny and interesting gameplay moments along with some essay style analysis of each world. Darkmoor is considered one of the "Four Dungeons" with Kembaalung, Barkingham Palace, and House of Scales

Darkmoor has a very special place in my heart. It was the difficulty spike the game needed and was just simply fantastic. I'll never forget hitting level 100 and getting those amazing pre-nerf darkmoor spells.
when darkmoor came out it was like.. the cliffhanger of wizard101.. and then it went all downhill from there.. but when darkmoor came out man those were probably one of the greatest updates to wizard101 in the game's history.. so much fun and it was legit the best time to come back and play.. of course it was pretty questionable with play to play and there were no free wizard101 membership for christmas.. but it was still a blast

Darkmoor is super fun. The only thing that sucks about it is if you get a bad team you’re done for. If people refuse to communicate or what to be selfish the whole time or don’t bother looking up the enemy cheats it can be brutal. I normally have a lot of patience for players in wiz but when it comes to Darkmoor idk I just seem to lose it all. Maybe because I’m a life player so trying to support a team that can’t be supported drives me nuts.
I remember life being the most wanted school in darkmoor. Having a life in the team made everything a lot less stressful, otherwise we just had to flee and come back a lot
@@megrocks3026 and don't forget to mention the life + storm combo.. it also made the life amulet and outfit people the second best choice for healing.. as well as death for the self heals and sacrifice
It's not just you, I've had people who end up triggering every cheat and then I tell them please stop and listen and they say no I can play the game how I want. My reply is always thanks for reminding me with a quick exit from the dungeon

Being a Life in Darkmoor was Stressful af though, and when runs take hours on end 💀
The Olympus gear is definitely worth farming for, it is better than most other gear you will find. You really do not need the actual Zeus gear tho, doing the dungeon 2-5 times will more or less guarantee a full set of Senators gear, and a Sky Iron Hasta as well, and you won't have to change that until at least level 56 (and the wand can last you until level 115)
Also, you said the Zeus robe was not as good as ww, which I think is just completely pointless of a comparison. Ofc the gear that's twice the level of that one is better XD

I think they could do a mix between evil and spirituality so its not too much dark and not too much light, like a yin and yang world
ikr! mirage when it first came out was pretty hard they said so they had to nerf it lol.. i remember doing mirage when it came out and not having much of a struggle.. but maybe it was cuz i was death?
I like the old darkmoor spells wiz was more fun back then it kept you on your toes and all the schools had broken spells except balance
The fact lulu does less than a 100 more than scarecrow just makes me cry, with only 2 pip cost difference, there's virtually no situation and which you can only use Lulu and the damage is so similar you might as well you scarecrow and not worry about trying to get a shadow pip
Honestly replaying this give me a whole new appreciation for Malistaire's story. The dude just wanted to help someone he cared about no matter the cost but ultimately his attempts to do so made things worse and he had to come to terms with the fact that he was only human and he couldn't always stop the people in his life from hurting. I wonder what 10 year old me would say if someone told him he would be relating to Malistaire of all characters in a decade. Its a weird world.
Waterworks isn’t even a necessary upgrade just craft the grizzel gear that works too (also gives you an extra blade that is really useful for pve)

mentally i was not prepared for a tobuscus segway, but since i'm watching wiz content i guess its just a inevitability of being trapped in my childhood for all eternity

I almost never used the Poseidon gear except for back in the day level 78 Myth PvP. That robe was actually part of my set that got me to Warlord since it provided me with more offense to pressure defensive/ higher level players.
I farmed the Aquila level 60 dungeon for its gear on my storm specifically to fizzle less often while I grindied the Waterworks to make that one a bit easier lol

The only reason to farm Atlantis is the Poseidon gear which has slightly better pierce and crit than Waterworks, but I'll take increased damage and resist over crit any day of the week

If you do Darkmoor you should do all the Four Dungeons in a row. That means Keembalung, Barkingham palace, House of Scales and finally...
The Dungeon of all Hearts, the place of all Fears, the Villains of all Time, and finally... Malistaire, the Master if the Undying Shadow.
Also, quick note, there IS a better 100% F2P version than the Sky Iron Hasta which you don't even need to farm! So, you need to go in Khrysalis in the Silent Market, and go to the wand vendor. For 266K gold _(which you possibly always have max at this point)_ you get a wand that gives 9% universal damage, 35 universal crit rating and 35 universal block rating.

Yeah no, for real it is no joke, Darkmoor is the best dungeon that ever existed in all of video game History, and Malistaire is by far the best villain of Wizard101.

malistaire is definitely the best villain of wizard101 but they dragged him so much.. he legit came back like so many times like just let the man rest in peace.. that's prob also another reason why darkmoor is so good cuz they gave malistaire a good closure
Darkmoor story could be so much better with a single simple change. It isnt Malistare itself, but his corpse and magic essense that toke a new form because of his mastery of death magic, the power of the dragon titan and Morganthe intervention, after his soul left to live in the after life his essense would take hold of his corpse and still hold to that grudge against you and the desire to bring Sylvia back to life, because without soul or mind that last will would be the only thing left, but no they had to do the "bad guy but zombie" thing, at least in the end we could have Malistare really growing as person and a happy end
Farmed darkmoor on a couple of accounts like a month or so ago, I swear they stopped dropping gold skeleton keys but I might have just been getting extremely unlucky
Lulu is still good, but it was definitely a different beast back then.

That’s correct, and “Aw quill uh” is how the characters in the game pronounce it. I don’t know why people default to some sort of faux Spanish pronunciation.
Wizard City for me was an A, Krokotopia was an E, Marleybone was an D, Mooshu was a C, Dragonspyre was a B, Celestia was an A LOVED IT def my fav cause it's a futuristic society, Zafaria was a B, Avalon was a B arguably an A loved it though, Khrysalis definetly S tier LOOOOOVED it super hard and fun it's like going through a rabbit hole quite literally maybe that's why we get that black thing on the floor when we touch shadow cause we now entered an entirely knew world consumed by shadow and left the world we thought we knew. Polaris was an A super easy and fun did it all in 1 day. Mirage was a C super long and hard, Karamelle, Empyrea was a C super long didn't really like it mostly zombied it, Karamelle was a D zombied it in 2 days. Lemeuria was a B zombied it in 1 day, Novus was a B zombied it too.

darkmoor is a really fun dungeon, but the teams suck. last time i did darkmoor was on my exalted storm with my friend, my other account, and some random fire wizard. the fire had barely any damage, and my exalted storm had over 150. the whole time the fire kept on blading himself and wasting my feints on all the bosses. my friend and i were praying that the fire would get killed, because he was the only thing that made the dungeon difficult

Bro fire wiz is difficult unless you got the perfect deck you gotta have the prisims on kroktopia for sure tho you do get some semi powerful spells pretty early on
