    Why at such a weird angle would be nice to see what screws are being undone etc.

    When I put diff oil in mine for the first time I noticed that they a 1/3 had grease on the outside of the diff cup. Should greasing the outside be part of the maintainance and if so what grease needs to be used ?
    Also it would be great to have a video highlighting common areas which need to be oiled / grease please.

      you need to fill Differentail oil (your preferred thickness, I like 20k rear200kmiddle 50k front) INTO the differential (the part that was disassembled here) And put grease on the outside of the differetial (Only front and rear, not in the middle!) where the big gear is. you can use all purpose grease if you want, or search for a better option online. I use all purpose grease or bearing grease.

    How often should diff maintenance be completed? I've only had my python for a week and the center diff had a grinding scratching noise and I noticed the car would not move. I took it home and removed the rear and center diff to find the center diff had no fluid and the rear was about 1/4 full of fluid. Teeth on the gears are not stripped or damaged in anyway, what could have caused this issue?

      Please check the center diff. When you do very often a wheelie, the diff heats up too much when no oil is inside. The frequency of maintenance depends on the driving style. Also when you use new gaskets when doing maintenance, then the diff oil will stay much longer in the diff cases.

    I once had to change a center diff cup on ANOTHER CAR. So much trouble to reach it :)

    The differentials come from factory only with some grease in it ... no oil ... I am disappointed. For this reason, if you purchase a RTR model you have to clean the diffs and fill the fitting oil in.

      Is this true with the shogun xp as well? I just bought one and trying to find any info on what needs to be done before I run the car. I read the whole manual and it didn't say anything about having to add oil to the differentials. Thanks

    • @cybron7089
      @cybron7089 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would always check, if the screws are tightened, screws in metal should get locktite. The diffs should be checked also: means you ahould open the diffs and see for yourself whats in there and fill in the correct diff oil. The shogun is an rc that you didnt assemble yourself, so check the rc to be sure that all is ok.

    my spacers bends reinstalling the differential . did i have any problems whitout them?

    • @TeamCorally
      @TeamCorally  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are important, as the gap between the gears must be right. You set it up by those washers. If it's too loose the gears may broke.
