thanks for posting this - i need to replace a headlight unit in my 2019 Auris damaged in an accident but i'm not looking forward to the job after watching all your work, crappy design to have to take the whole of the font of the car to pieces just to swap out a headlight unit ... crazy !!!
I agree that all newer versions are getting worse. Try to check the voltage produced by the alternator when starting the first few seconds, if it throws too much voltage it will burn out the bulbs. This is often the case on Peugeot, Citroen and some other models
