A very preceptive manager at Dr. . Barnardo's Alison was understanding up to a point but ultimately Fred's celebrity status and the intrusion of the TV cost him his marriage. In retrospect all this has very sad repercussions.

Fred only went on the Big Wheel once, at the fair. He later had to refrain because it got stuck with him at the bottom due to the weight of his balls.
