Tazumal Salvadoran Dance Group at The Greater Springfield Community Festival 2024

Tazumal Salvadoran Dance Group was established to celebrate and promote the beauty and culture of El Salvador through dance. Today’s performance of “El Sombrero Azul" depicts the resilience and dignity of the people of El Salvador in the face of adversity. The song begins with "El pueblo salvadoreño tiene el cielo por sombrero" (The Salvadoran people have the sky for a hat) acknowledging the struggles that El Salvador has faced, but emphasizing the importance of perseverance and hope.
