Shows your character not chasing the all mighty dollar! This is why I watch over and over! Honest and Sincere, and like to keep it light! Good luck on all your future sponsorships.
Thanks TJ81 for being upfront as usual. Know you’ll still show Okuma products that make your cut and we’ll enjoy. Stay warm with your family and be careful at work!
I've never owned any Okuma rods but I know you and Hank are big fans. Always been a Lews guy. I have no problem testing out other brands but it's like you say " if I like it then I like it, but if not then eh..... won't use. Definitely will look into some Okuma rods though. Need a good spinning rod to pair up with the reel Debo sent me awhile back!
A+ tier channel and TH-camr! Appreciate the honesty and already looking forward to what’s coming next with any brand/company you enjoy! Keep up the great work and thanks for the entertainment!
Only two inflows and one outflow in the main lake that I fish. All at the opposite side of the lake from me. Usually as the bluegill go into these the catfish and other gamefish follow them. The outflow is a dam and locks the fish don't usually go above them often. The fish from the lower lake swim up the canal usually the beginning of June pretty regularly.
Can anyone compare the Okuma X series casting rods to a St. Croix Victory/Bass X/Triumph or an Expride B or the latest Fenwick Elite rods? I mean how does it compare in stiffness? I feel like my Expride B rods are all a full power stiffer than rated, and I feel like my St. Croix Victory rods are more accurate with power, if not a little on the light side, and the Fenwick are right on the money. How does the Okuma X compare when comparing identical powers and actions? Of course I need another rod like I need a hole in the head, but I like trying new stuff being a fellow tackle junky like all of you guys!
I've given my neighbor a bunch of bass fishing stuff that was larger to use for northern pike fisherman so that kinda makes me a sponsor right LOL ... I gave him my right handed Lews bait caster last year too. I only use left handed bait casters
Awesome video!!!! Thanks for sharing the info. It's hard to part from a company that you found the best product you like to use!!! Stay Safe & God Bless!!! 🤠👍
I looked at my reels and have two Okuma spinning reels with baitclickers on them used for catfishing about half of last summer. Bunch of fifteen pound plus catfish caught on them.
Okuma makes great products. Once upon a time more known for salty water applications from what I was told. But man, the two spinning rods and reels ( lower mid tier) in have of there's for bass has done right by me with no issues. Definitely will get another combo from them .. but baitcasting this time around.
@TackleJunky81 so your paid and receive free products from them all. Or is it discounts with the possibility to earn from sales. Sponsors give a yearly contract with a payment plus lures or gear depending on the company and contract. Pro staff or affiliate gets a discount, discount codes to give out and or small sales commission. Most don't give the sales commission to pro staff though.
Everyone has already said it in the comments my friend. There are to many TH-cam channels pushing garbage because they are PAID to and this channel has never been and hope it never is and the reason we Love the Tackle Junky. Stay warm Jim, Semper Fidelis
