Hey thanks for the vid bud. I have a sl65 and I have not started to have any issues with the abc yet but your vids give me much more confidence on tackling any issues.
New except for struts... But what about all of the rubber lines which run throughout? The thought of the 16 year old lines rupturing keeps me up at night.
Got CL55 here. At 80k miles so it probably needs it done at aound 100k miles. How many miles were on the car? Guessing dealet will charge thousands for this. I fix my own cars so I can totally do this. Great vid!
Thank you, the car had 180,000 miles when I did this and everything looked original when I took it off. It was a very simple job, just take your time. Thank you for watching
The accumulators are only good for about 10 years. If you don’t replace them the rubber bladder inside breaks down. I actually have a video on this channel of me cutting one open and showing you how they fail. I would recommend replacing them. Thank you for watching
I’ll be honest I haven’t watched the entire video since I haven’t gotten there yet. But a quick question I had is can I replace just one solenoid that has a bad (low) ohm rating or does the entire valve block need to be swapped out? I’m asking a tech online and he says the entire valve needs replacing and that individual solenoids can’t be replaced. This was based on his training though, I feel you can since it has a part number on it. Thanks.
sorry for the late responses. Started off by blowing with air then carb cleaner before disassembling. Once I removed the valves and all the seals I used compressed air and carb cleaner. I go over all that is needed in one of the videos.

I had one blow, got a new one from FCP euro with a life time warranty for cheep. I plan on changing them all when I start having strut problems.

thanks for the video, where is this located in the rear of the W220?
One was in the front drive side and one in front of the rear tier on the driver side.
Do you have to replace accumulators? What happens if you don't?

Depends on the model year. 2007+ valve blocks are not user serviceable like these early units are.
