Fabulous Scott your voice just gets better each time I hear it. I’m sure you’re still singing to us all from Heaven. Rip delicious man love Arlene xxxxxx ❤
I will always love you Scott as a person and an artist. Thanks for what you gave us. And still give...Discoverying you was like another Saturday added to our week.
SCOTT WALKER is truly wonderful to the ears. Buying his collection of albums, both solo and with THE WALKER BROTHERS, really enhances your life. It did for me, anyway. "Come Next Spring", is sheer classy quality. As with many of his great songs, it brings a tear or two, to your eye.
I think Scott is every bit as good as Sinatra, Andy Williams, Steve Lawrence or any of the great crooners... He can sing classics...but possesses a style that has a truly mystical charm....simply magnificent in every way!!!!! In my world? No male soloist compares to him. He truly was "avant garde", in the most beautiful way!!!!
Scott chose to end Scott 2 with this song because it contained such love and optimism, but at its core was the understanding there could be no Next Spring. Always that inner sadness.
Best version of this song, what a surprise, I will always wait for your arms darling Scott. You really penetrate me with the heights your voice can reach. Love u Arlene xxxxxxxx
Scott said he worked for the guy who played in the movie when he was a teenager. Cleaning his house and pool. They might have had some interesting conversations.
Because Scott has no interest in giving us any more of these gems - thankfully we have these recordings. Thanks for posting it and reminding us of this magnificent talent. i .
I thought I loved Tony Bennett's rendition of this song, but this Scott Walker has a wonderful voice. Thanks for the lead. I just went to Amazon to check his work.
I don’t get how people compare Scott to A Williams, Scott is leaps and bounds better there has never been anyone with such a perfect voice and a beautiful speaking voice also. Then his looks, well what is there to say except I wish he’d have been triplets. Wonderful man with such gorgeous thoughts it’s impossible not to love him, I miss Scott more than anyone. Rip Scott, Arlene xxxxxx 🥰
oh come on James N.... is your lack of vision one of the reasons Scott became so determined to do justice to his own musical perception? Yes he was the best male ballad singer of the twentieth century. But he had much more to explore to express his synesthetic qualities, his creative force which produced tthe extraordinary recordings later in his career. Listen tohis orchestralpieces, somefor movies, and the masterpieces on Tilt and other albums. As Bjork once said"it'snot the instruments, the method it's the soul you put into the sound." Bless your evolving soul Scott...hope to hear from you in another lifetime !
Caught in a time warp, driven by an insatiable intellectual curiosity, his fate was clearly a crying shame, albeit self imposed. Chops beyond belief, as illustrated by this song as compared to Tony Bennett''s version. His interpretation is exquisite, Tony being no slouch. Orchestration lends perfect support.
Sorry can't agree. Scott was on a spiritual journey and made a wholelot of progress as I hear it. You don't seek sanctuary in a Franciscan monestery to persue "intellectual curiosity". Just listen to his lyrics... he was exploring Love!!
Come next spring When all the world is new And fresh And green And fair Then I'll come home And I'll carry in my heart Just one prayer That I'll find you Still waiting for my arms We'll meet We'll kiss We'll cling And then once more Love will blossom as before Come Come on next spring And then once more Love will blossom as before Come next Next spring Come next spring
Lovely Scott your voice is just as good as ever, hope u have a happy birthday 🥳 love u always Arlene xxxxxx
I held Scott’s hand for about 3 seconds and I have never forgotten that feeling, almost 60 years ago. Love Arlene xxxxx

I fell in love with his voice , for me ,he was the best ever ,rest in peace, I shall never ever forget you ❤
This boy’s voice has always been one of my favourites! He used to hang on to those notes effortlessly just like Sinatra! Great stuff!
Sinatra is vastly overrated
What an underrated singer! His voice is magical.
Beautiful man beautiful voice ❤️ RIP Scott 💔
I will always love you Scott as a person and an artist. Thanks for what you gave us. And still give...Discoverying you was like another Saturday added to our week.
Always a beautiful song and Scott's version is perfection. Saw the film in the late 50's. A low budget gem with Steve Cochran and Ann Sheridan.
Great film.
Love this lovely man and adore his , voice always in my heart ❤️❤️❤️

I love this song, share it with the world!
Perfection x
You can never stop loving him.
Bw well, Noel, my dear.
A beautiful beautiful voice such a shame he went away
and left us wanting more ,but that was his choice.
Wonderful voice indeed.
The quality of Scott Walker's voice is way superior to all the other crooners of the 20th century IMHO.
suena como una guitarra con vivrato, su voz es maravillosa!

.
what about those doom tracks he did with Sunn O))) like last year?
+Anthony Fitzsimons
I thought you were joking. Then I checked it out. Good Lord!
+Jeff Williams Since the 90s he's been making some real weird music. I highly recommend Bish Bosch. It's so bizarre, yet incredibly satisfying.

Hi G, unbelievable range love him Arlene xxxxxxxx

I wonder what happens after we die and if we'll ever meet those people we loved. Maybe we'll all fade into oblivion.
Caught in a time warp, driven by an insatiable intellectual curiosity, his fate was clearly a crying shame, albeit self imposed. Thank you : )
The voice that every man thinks he has, when he`s singing in the shower. He doesn`t.
I've just listened to the Bennett version - it's painful. Scott's version is BRILLIANT!
after all so very wise people
I never saw the film but everyone who's seen it says the same thing; hope I can get to see it sometime. :)
Hi G, magnificent wasn’t he. Love Arlene xxxxx
I still love Tony's version. The ending as sung by Tony is incredible! This is a fine version and I compliment Scott Walker.
I'd love to know how Scott Walker decided to cover this relatively obscure song.
Come next spring
When all the world is new
And fresh
And green
And fair
Then I'll come home
And I'll carry in my heart
Just one prayer
That I'll find you
Still waiting for my arms
We'll meet
We'll kiss
We'll cling
And then once more
Love will blossom as before
Come
Come on next spring
And then once more
Love will blossom as before
Come next
Next spring
Come next spring
