Letting your 17 year old daughter move out tells you everything you need to know. This mom has no control over her daughter but the world will put her in your place.
We can see why the mom let (wanted) her daughter move out. The girl was close to turning 18, so mom could get this headache out of her house a little early and have some peace.
The mom is laughing and rolling her eyes like its no big deal. Back in the 90s these two would have been on Ricki Lake because they partied and picked up men together
The only reason our son moved out shortly after turning 17 is because he was moving into the dorms at his university. Otherwise, there is NO WAY that my kid would be moving out while they’re still in school. I don’t know what the mom THOUGHT was going to happen, but underage drinking and fighting are probably just the tip of the iceberg.
The 20 year old that bought the house with her mother's help seems responsible and grown up. A better role model than her friend's mother. Her younge teenage friend pathetic irresponsible. No regard for her property. Glad she will pay for the window she broke. Needs to grow up. Stop drinking. Be more accountable for her behavior.
Unfortunately, in NY state, your 16 year old can move out without your consent and she was 17 at the time. You could come from the best parents and still end up in this situation. Stop blaming the mother
"I knew what I was doing..." while getting hammered, breaking windows and getting sued is exactly what a teenager, a child, says and does. I work with teenagers at camp and they all act like they are adults when they want to stay up late. Then, the next days, they struggle to stay awake for activities. 95% of teens do this and it is how you know they are still children that cant connect actions and consequences. Adults attend parties and leave that party no matter how fun it is at 7 pm so that they can get home, sleep early and wake up early for work. Also, why is drinking such a thing some teens want to do so bad. If you ask me, it is so childish thinking, "I am not allowed so I want to..." Kids like this need more after school activities...the youth I work with have no time for this type of tomfoolery.
Rolling your eyes is the epitome of arrogance. What she's saying with the eye roll is "You're ignorant, Judge." Not a smart move if you're in court trying to prove your case.
The mom rolling her eyes like she’s so appalled with her daughter’s actions yet she’s the one who raised her and let her move out. Don’t act like you didn’t know what was going on. Take some responsibility yourself too.
Wow. I know where the defendant gets her snark from. Geez when the judge asked the plaintiff if she had a reciept for the window she smirked andcrolled her eyes too 🤦♀️ They both need a lesson in humility The entitlement runs derp with these two
Is. . .is Harvey looking at the wrong case in the end? "The mother isn't responsible and the youngster didn't do anything malicious" . I think he's been out there in the sun too long
This is a lesson learned while you are young. I did so many things that were stupid while I was young, but I also learned to be responsible because no one came to save me or cover for my wrong actions. I grew up in the 70's. Kinda a different world. The comments are harsh.
Wow... allowing your 17 year old to move out when it's not to like a dorm room at college is crazy to me... And could she be ANY more disrespectful towards JM??? Mom is just standing there, rolling her eyes too... Nice...😳😳😳
@BREEZYM6015 It has nothing to do with an age gap of two people living together... The girl is 17 and not yet an adult... THAT'S my point... 17 year olds aren't typically responsible enough... and clearly, this one isn't... IMO...
Yeah, mom needs to reel that kid in. She's obviously not responsible enough to be adulting in an apartment situation. And I kinda doubt that this is her 1st experience with alcohol.
The defendant already has bags under her eyes. She's too young look hungover in court. Her mom better get a handle on her before she hits 18. She certainly shouldn't be living on her own smh
I really fear how the defendant is going to turn out if mon doesnt wake up and intervene soon. Looking at her mom, it tracks that she is the way she is. Hopefully, she gets help and break that curse, bc maternal grandmother probably raised her mother the exact same way.
Who is supplying these underage teenagers alcohol? The mom needs to control her daughter 17, is too young to be living on her own. she's throwing wild parties punching people in the face destroying private property she's out of control and her mom's rolling her eyes.
I find it sad that every time the mother is asked something about her daughter she deflects on to what the other kids are doing that's not what they asked you they asked you about your daughter specifically stop worrying about other people's kids and worry about your own
That “mom” is ridiculous. Her reasoning for letting her daughter move in with friends at age 17: “well it’s an experience, and a lot of kids don’t get to do this.” YEAH-THERE’S A REASON FOR THAT, LADY. Grow up yourself and be a damn parent!
The defendants daughter is rude and she has a nasty attitude , and at seventeen she already drinking alcohol getting drunk and acting a like a fool . I don’t think the mother is responsible for her actions she seems like one of those mothers who really try with their kid/kids to teach them right from wrong , but the kid just don’t listen and do what they want .
Making poor choices right from the start. The defendant needs to change that and think more about making a good future.... the mother failed her child by letting her move out. The way this is going, I predict trouble ahead.
My son graduated at 16. I made him stay home for a year (small town no jobs) he found a job. At 17 I let him move out to the city. Broke my heart. A year later he went to university
@@bhornannawindeedeigh5007 Good morning, how is your start to the weekend going. Here the weather is getting hot, Monday will be 40 celsius, 104 Fahrenheit
Look at the bags under the 17 yr old's eyes. She looks so worn out. Mom needs to get her some counseling or therapy quick. The fact that she let her move out, knowing she has issues, shows she doesn't want to deal with it
Part of the attitude from the defendant could be that she insulted the girl by saying she couldn’t tell which was the mom. Id be annoyed too. That was rude.
That defendant definitely has a attitude issue. Mom needs to be a mom and stop smiling like her kid is a prize.
I think she's afraid of her daughter
She's lying. She didn't pay out $60 cash right after breaking the window. lol. I doubt her drunk a$$ even had $60 on her.
Exactly!
Unless you were there.. 😂

I moved out at 13. Been on my own ever since 🤷🏼♀️

What a stupid comment. A teenager got drunk and you jumped straight to jail. 🙄
Uh no. 🙄 Most teenagers party and do stupid things. I certainly did. Many things I’m not proud of. I’ve only ever had a speeding ticket in my life.
No she’s not. I did things 10 times worse than that at her age, and I’m OK.
Mom's in Total Denial about her daughter's drinking problem. Sad.
Did she deny it?
Did we watch the same video because I didn't see that at all?

Won’t be the first time this girl is in front of a judge. Mother is completely irresponsible!
Mother set her up for failure. Mother never disciplined her a day in her life. That’s exactly why she behaves as such. Shame on the mother
"She took it out of hand"... You're underage drinking, broke a window, and started a fight 😂
