- Super Mario Land on Nintendo Gameboy is a classic. The music is so nostalgia, it’s guaranteed to bring back memories of you had this as a kid. Tho the second Mario game on the gameboy is made much better, this one is still a lot of fun. It’s short, and not too hard to beat. Highly playable.

I literally had a dream one night back in November 1993, that my Game Boy was gold and had a backlight in it.
5 years later they seemed to have actually released this.
Fun Fact: The Game Boy Light was a Japan exclusive.

Do you have vertical ghosting lines when you turn up the contrast while you are playing games with moving objects? especially the next stage of this one?
Maybe a little, but it’s not too noticeable in Tetris tbh
Yes, it’s a very common side effect of the screens. Not sure if it worsens with age, but I have owned 4 Game boys from the GB/pocket era, including a light, and they all show the vertical dark lines when you make the contrast darker. However, with the right contrast adjustment, it should be negligible

i could be wrong, but i think i might see screen rot/screen cancer in the top middle of the screen. if that's the case though, a game boy pocket screen is the same as a game boy light's, you just need to remove the back polarizer :)
Yes you’re right there is that spot on the top but it’s on the border and doesn’t affect the playing screen. Thanks for your info but I’m gonna hold off and keep it original as long as possible
@@Yvr_Retro tendo209 mods made a video on how to get rid of screen rot, i just recommended gutting a gbp screen bc it was easier. i hope my advice helped :)
