I can definitely do that! I think the terms also differ between states- in virginia, we have separate eligibility meetings to go over report results and qualify students but it seems like in california, they do that during IEP meetings.
This is so great! You should definitely make a video for differences between IEP vs. 504. What level do you envision yourself working at? I hope your internship is going well, virtually!
This is all super interesting to me as I'm getting my Associate's in Psychology (planning to go to grad school eventually) and I was/am still given accommodations in school for my disabilities. I had a lot of OT and speech/social skills therapy as an elementary school student.
Thanks so much for sharing. Many people continue to have accommodations as they get older because it allows them to function with small tweaks in their environment. I often see accommodations being provided for adults for standardized tests or work if they have a medical condition or disability. Something I haven't thought too much about is workplace discrimination, which I feel like people may face if they have accommodations.
I would love a video on the difference between IEPs and 504s!

Thanks so much!! I've been really enjoying middle school and all of the pre-teen/teen shenanigans. Which age group do you work with?

I love your passion. Thank you for this information. I am a school psychology student in my practicum now! Thank you.
