      Just out of curiosity, did you ever feel like your tendon move when balancing? What was your recovery time until you got full mobility?

    Awesome. Saved me a trip to the physio that would've ended in "here's a brace. wear it for a few weeks and see what happens"

    had this since birth, my parents commented on it, it was misdiagnosed many times as weak ankles and flat feet, which really are the consequences and not the cause. it must be hereditary cause both my brothers have it and my father as well.

    Thank you, it was helpful. To say the injury can be missed is an understatement! The problem with mri too, is that if the tendon(s) is not currently subluxated out of place, it could look healthy and normal. I do have one question for you if you could please: What is used to reconstruct the superior retinaculum? A donor allograft of some sort?

    Honestly, I think I might have this and my doctor missed it. She just told me it was a sore ankle and then dismissed it. Now I have a very unstable ankle. Can it heal on it's own? It doesn't hurt but it is very unstable and throws me off balance.

      Me too, since I was 10 or something I remember clicking my ankle. When I played soccer it became worse, I can still walk miles and miles with the right boots, but it swells up and there is some pain. If I flex my foot I can feel the tendon snapping on the outside of my ankle.

      @@yoloswag6242 same. I remember growing up realizing I could make my ankle pop and I know for a fact I’ve never sprained an ankle in my life. Over time it became progressively worse to the point where every time I put my foot in the ground it pops when I pick it up. Sometimes it won’t but I still feel the stiffness as if it wants to though. Have you ever gotten yours looked at?

    What’s the best affordable brace/cast for this?

  • @ricardasbertasius5577
    @ricardasbertasius5577 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi, I have a question to which I can't find any answer myself. Is it possible to have acute subluxation of peroneal tendons without SPR tearing or avulsion ? Because on the time of injury (bouldering/rock climbing while doing pistol squat on the rock) , mine popped out to the front and was popping in and out while I was moving it, with loud popping sounds, tendon was visible outside the skin. My ankle was immobilised in a cast for three weeks and I am off the cast for a week now, started to bear weight on it, it does not snap yet, but I am scared to twist it inside. MRI radiology told that they do not see any ligament ruptures. How is that possible ? (p.s. after injury I could not take any steps, the leg would collapse and subluxate instantly, now I can, but the leg is not stable yet) Thanks.

    Can you explain why I'm experiencing weird nerve dysfunction symptoms along this same section of the body after getting some b ody work done? I think it has to do with a compressed sciatica nerve. I have soreness in my right hip/buttocks and numbness in my ankle and heel. It also feels like the tendon is slipping around behind my ankle and at the bottom of my foot. It is a very bizarre sensation. Any explanation (even a guess) would be very helpful. Thank you!

      @@StopFlaggingVideos so basically the ultimate way to ease it is to get the surgery... Had it around 2015, used to play lots of football.. One such day.. Twisted my ankle... Felt dizzy for a while and felt nauseated.. Doc made me wear a cast for about 5 weeks... And then ankle was back to normal... Then almost after a year.. Again twisted it... And ever since have the snap or that popping of tendon, hurts for a while then it's normal .. Am able to run 10km in 45 mins... But in everyday life.. I always walk looking down so as to not misstep and pop them.. Surgery is the only way.. But am working now so can't miss out good 3 weeks 😅😅
