It's so reassuring to know getting into Heaven isn't something my actions can ever earn. I can just rest in Jesus.

What makes you think that? Jesus also says many will call his name and he will answer you did not know me.

@@gordianknot6867 I guess the problem lies in what our heart desire. Meeting and communing with God face to face, as his children? or just getting into heaven? What is heaven if Jesus is just the means and He is not there?

@@tseongjay7574 what I’m trying to say is belief in Jesus alone will not grant access to heaven. People shouldn’t try to get into heaven, they should try to make their environment as harmonious and heavenly as possible in doing that they will go to heaven.

After 39 years of being saved by reading the word in the woods for 4 months and teaching and preaching the word I have found Jesus yolk can also be his command to tell every person the good news. It is like because it's a joy to see people weep repent and come to Christ. I have wept every time God has given me the opportunity to lead someone into the Kingdom ! It is such a joy, so this passage like many passages can be multifaceted. Glory to God, what a miracle to see someone raised from the dead spiritually, I always break down with them for it is a greater Miracle than raising a literal Dead man Amen and Amen

Thank you whoever agreed that watching a person come to life spiritually as a great America than raising someone from the dead because they were dead spiritually headed to eternal damnation and within 10 minutes of coming to the cross repentance of sin then salvation receiving it they are a new creature. Absolutely the greatest miracle ever

The last bit clicked with me. It makes a lot of sense to oppose self righteousness and faith. Have faith that everything will work out. God is testing our faith all the time, not for himself, but to show US where we are in our faith toward Him. So don’t feel bad or guilty ever because that is more self righteousness. Instead, let it show you how you have lacked faith, and that should be a huge relief because rather than needing to make something right, you just need to drop the striving for peace thing and let God come into your life!

The law is given for the purpose to show the sinfulness of man, it is NOT given as a set of rules to follow in order to earn salvation. In short, the law is just like a mirror to show us that everyone is born a sinner and not worthy to enter Heaven. By the term sinner, it is a status and NOT our outward sinful actions. We commit sin because we are sinner and we CANNOT change this sinner status by doing good works.
So how are we saved? We are saved when we realize and know that we are sinner and cannot do anything to save ourself. Then we put all our hope and trust in Jesus Christ the lamb of God who TOOK away the sins of the world. If Jesus has took away the sins of the entire world, then our personal sins were already taken away too. Salvation is by faith (trusting in Jesus and his finished work on the cross) and NOT of works (by doing good works, trying to sin less and keeping the laws of God).
Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works, so that no one can boast.

So true.... We will all be sinners in these flesh bodies until we are with the Lord Jesus... I have heard some Christians say that they have finally got to the point where they no longer sin, this is an absolute lie and sin itself.... The only sinless person to ever walk this earth was Jesus, period!

@@darrendavenport3094 Christian still sin but all our sins (past, present and future) have been put away when Jesus went to the cross to pay for all our sins. It is like God already knew what we will do throughout our whole life and he made an advance payment for all our sins.

Yoke indicates WORK. And being JOINED together. I understand it as marriage. We call it getting HITCHED. The Holy Spirit WORKS thru us & within us if we will surrender our self will & our own understanding & our own self righteousness. In other words, it is Entering into God's Rest which is the only way to be reconciled with God & be in the proper relationship with the Source of Supreme Authority & Wisdom. By simply letting God be God in a deeply personal way & in all areas of our life 24/7. Bc a marriage is not only on Saturdays. That's the part alot of Torahist's miss about the Gospel of Peace. It's a MARRIAGE to King Jesus the Christ.

Counterintuitively Jesus demands FAR MORE than what the Pharisees ever did. “Pick up your cross and follow me.” “Anyone who doesn’t hate his father…” “Sell all your belongings, give it to the poor and follow me.” However, He assures us even so following Him is “easier”.

No . your thesis is wrong.Jesus Christ wants to declare to the sinners who really submit and are feeling guilty of their own sins and who want forgiveness, and says who soever accepts Him will become free and accepting Him is easy. Here at this point something is hidden. Now see the small explanation : A sinner wants to be free of his sins and comes to the lord . He wants to be cleansed of his sins . Jesus says :The process shall be easy and light if you surrender to me ".

still doesnt make sense how one man, even god's only begotten, could make their sacrifice worth the entirety of humanity if the latter were truly deserving of extermination to the point where someone absolutely had to perish.
