Heavenly harmonies and catchy melodies all in their unique feel good style. That is why they are still adored today by young and old.
I hope their music lasts forever.
Thanks for another great ABBA reaction, look forward to the next one.

Welcome to ABBA world. The BEST group of all time, hailing from Sweden. The greatest song writing and otherworldly harmonies by Frida Lyngstad (the red head) and Agnetha Faltskog (the blonde).

Those harmonies are so good because they were written by Björn and Benny and sung by Agneta (soprano) and Frida (mezzo soprano)

    "Knowing me knowing you" (1976)
is one of ABBA's most famous heartthrob songs
The lyrics are strong and raw
(some say there is a preview of the couple conflicts between the blonde singer Agnetha & guitarist Björn)
And it has a powerful chorus on Agnetha & Frida, and a nice melody
These is an excellent official video,
it shows the four of them in separation situations, and plays with the images of the trios
The part that stands out the most
is the appearance of the image of Agnetha almost whispering
as a reflection of Frida's main voice
    "Knowing me knowing you"
was five weeks in a row at #1 in the UK,
and one of them coincided with the #1 of "Dancing Queen" on the Billboard.
(Just this week of April 9, 1977, 46 years ago, ABBA was #1 in the U.S. and U.K.
with two different songs from the same album)
    "Knowing me knowing you"
is one of their hits that ABBA recorded in spanish at 1980,
    with the tittle: "Conociéndome, Conociéndote",
part of their album in spanish language
    "Gracias por la música" (1980)
ABBA recorded in spanish after the colossal success of "Chiquitita" (1979)
    in Latin American countries
    For a new suggestion,
the first heartbroken ABBA song that was worldwide hit: "S.O.S." (1975)
the second worldwide hit to ABBA since their victory at Eurovision with "Waterloo"
I hope to see you in next reaction to ABBA
My best regards to You from
    Buenos Aires Argentina 🇦🇷
    South América

A very nice breaking-up reaction 👨💔👩! The song is about marriage then divorce. I see 👁👁 that you have reacted to ABBA before: Dancing Queen, Happy New Year, Does Your Mother Know, The Name Of The Game, SOS and Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!. Knowing Me Knowing You was released as the fourth single from ABBA's 1976 album: Arrival. It was written by Benny Andersson Björn Ulvaeus and Stig Anderson. It was produced by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus. Anni-Frid Lyngstad with the lead vocals. It reached #7 on the Adult Contemporary chart, #11 on the Cash Box 100 and #14 on the Hot 100. It peaked at #1 in the UK, West Germany, Mexico, South Africa, Belgium and Ireland. The music video was directed by Lasse Hallström.
The song was recorded in 1976 at the Metronome Studios in Stockholm and was released as a single in February 1977, becoming one of the group's more successful hits. The B-side was the song: "Happy Hawaii", an arrangement of another ABBA song: "Why Did It Have To Be Me?", but with a different lead vocalist and lyrics.
This is a serious song by ABBA, probably a turning point in their career. You can see a definite transition in ABBA's sound here as they are beginning to leave the Bubblegum behind and start touching on serious issues, such as divorce. One can't help but wonder if there was a foreshadowing of the divorces that would end up splitting the group up just a short few years later. It predates the divorces of the ABBA members as well as further break-up songs to come from the group: "The Winner Takes It All" (1980), "When All Is Said And Done" (1981) and "One Of Us" (1981).
Bjorn Ulvaeus of ABBA came up with this song at a time when the relationships within the group were strained, and his lyric reflect that. Said Ulvaeus: "I think I wrote 'Knowing Me Knowing You' before the divorce. In many ways, Agnetha and my divorce was an amicable one, we just grew apart and decided let's split up. Benny and Frida's was a little more difficult. It was not a happy time but still very creative".
    Critical Reception 🗣:
Billboard reviewed the song and described it as a "melodically energetic but sad worded ditty about a romantic breakup".
Cash Box called it "a softly rocking record that combines memorable pop hooks in their distinctive reverb-soaked ambiance" and said that it has "a sound agreeable to just about any top 40 station".
Record World said that "Its chorus is a mighty hook, capping another superb melody".
In 2017, Billboard ranked the song number four on their list of the 15 greatest ABBA songs.
In 2021, Rolling Stone ranked the song number two on their list of the 25 greatest ABBA songs.
The song has been covered many other artists including 📻: Hazell Dean, Tad Morose, Richard Clayderman, Danny Wilson, Arno, Wondermints, Cilla Black, Perla, Franck Pourcel, Günter Noris, Roberto Delgado, Paul Mauriat, Max Greger, James Last and more.
    Song Credits 📝:
    Anni-Frid Lyngstad - lead vocals
    Agnetha Fältskog - backing vocals
Björn Ulvaeus - guitar, backing vocals
    Benny Andersson - keyboards, synthesizer
Rutger Gunnarsson - bass, string arrangements
    Lyrics 🗒:
    No more carefree laughter
    Silence ever after
Walking through an empty house, tears in my eyes
Here is where the story ends, this is goodbye
    Knowing me, knowing you (ah-ha)
There is nothing we can do
    Knowing me, knowing you (ah-ha)
We just have to face it, this time
(This time, this time) we're through (we're through)
This time we're through, we're really through
Breaking up is never easy, I know, but I have (I have to go) to go
(This time I have to go, this time I know) knowing me, knowing you
It's the best I can do
    Memories (memories)
    Good days (good days)
    Bad days (bad days)
    They'll be (they'll be)
    With me (with me)
    Always (always)
In these old familiar rooms, children would play
Now there's only emptiness, nothing to say
    Knowing me, knowing you (ah-ha)
There is nothing we can do
    Knowing me, knowing you (ah-ha)
We just have to face it, this time
(This time, this time) we're through (we're through)
This time we're through, we're really through
Breaking up is never easy, I know, but I have (I have to go) to go
(This time I have to go, this time I know) knowing me, knowing you
It's the best I can do
    Knowing me, knowing you (ah-ha)
There is nothing we can do
    Knowing me, knowing you (ah-ha)
We just have to face it, this time
(This time, this time) we're through (we're through)
This time we're through, we're really through
Breaking up is never easy, I know, but I have (I have to go) to go
(This time I have to go, this time I know) knowing me, knowing you
It's the best I can do
    ABBA Info 📰:
ABBA are a Swedish Pop supergroup formed in Stockholm, Sweden in 1972 by Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad. The group's name is an acronym of the first letters of their first names arranged as a palindrome: Agnetha, Björn, Benny, Anni-Frid. The group members of ABBA were married as follows: Agnetha Fältskog and Björn Ulvaeus from 1971 to 1979, Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid "Frida" Lyngstad from 1978 to 1981. They are one of the most popular and successful musical groups of all time, and are one of the best-selling music acts in the history of popular music, topping the charts worldwide from 1974 to 1982, and in 2022. In 1977 ABBA: The Movie, was produced. It is a mockumentary comedy-drama film about ABBA's Australian tour. An international co-production from Sweden and Australia, the film was directed by Lasse Hallström, who helmed most of the band's videos.
The discography of Swedish Pop music group ABBA consists of nine studio albums, two live albums, seven compilation albums, four box sets, five video albums, 50 singles, and 43 music videos. To date, ABBA has sold 150 million records worldwide becoming one of the best-selling music artists in history. They have scored 9 No. 1 singles and 10 No. 1 albums in the UK, becoming the most successful Swedish act of all time on the Official Charts. ABBA are among the best-selling music artists in history, with record sales estimated to be between 150 million to 385 million sold worldwide and the group were ranked 3rd best-selling singles artists in the United Kingdom with a total of 11.3 million singles sold by November 3, 2012.
In 1974, ABBA were Sweden's first winner of the Eurovision Song Contest with the song: "Waterloo", which in 2005 was chosen as the best song in the competition's history as part of the 50th anniversary celebration of the contest. The band members were married. With the increase of their popularity, their personal lives suffered, which eventually resulted in the collapse of both marriages. The relationship changes were reflected in the group's music, with later compositions featuring darker and more introspective lyrics. After ABBA disbanded in December 1982, Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus continued their success writing music for multiple audiences including stage, musicals and movies, while Agnetha Fältskog and Björn Lyngstad pursued solo careers releasing several albums.
Ten years after the group broke up, a compilation album: ABBA Gold, was released becoming a worldwide best-seller. In 1999, ABBA's music was adapted into the stage play: Mamma Mia!, that toured worldwide and, as of April 2022, is still in the top-ten longest running productions on both Broadway (closed in 2015) and the West End (still running). A film of the same name: Mamma Mia!, released in 2008, became the highest-grossing film in the United Kingdom that year. A film sequel: Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, was released in 2018.
On March 15, 2010, ABBA were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame by Bee Gees members Barry Gibb and Robin Gibb. The ceremony was held at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City. The group were represented by Anni-Frid Lyngstad and Benny Andersson.
In 2016, the group reunited and started working on a digital avatar concert tour. Newly recorded songs were announced in 2018. The group's album: Voyage, their first new album in 40 years, was released on 5 November 2021 to positive critical reviews and strong sales in numerous countries. ABBA Voyage, a concert residency featuring ABBA as virtual avatars, opened in May 2022 in London.
ABBA still performs their music live on stage in 2024.
    Legacy 🛡:
In May 2023 ABBA were awarded the BRIT Billion Award which celebrates those who have surpassed the milestone of one billion UK streams in their career.
ABBA were the first group from a non-English-speaking country to achieve consistent success in the charts of English-speaking countries, including the United Kingdom, Australia, United States, Republic of Ireland, Canada, New Zealand and South Africa.
They are the best-selling Swedish band of all time and the best-selling band originating in continental Europe.
ABBA had eight consecutive number-one albums in the UK.
The group also enjoyed significant success in Latin America and recorded a collection of their hit songs in Spanish.
ABBA were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2002.
The group were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010, the first recording artists to receive this honor from outside an Anglophonic country.
