Well said, lot of people now know Ukraine proxy war is not about Ukrainians but rather,to destabilise Russia cause regime change and try to partition Russia. Hearing the west continue to trumpet the fact that nukes have not been deployed sounds so much like a gambler that keeps believing that they will never roll snake eyes because they haven't yet. What are they talking about that Russia is causing confusion with nuclear Sabre rattling? Russia has a written protocol for use of nuclear weapons, transparent and known. Unlike the US, whose policy wrt to nuclear weapons is wilfully ambiguous.
Russia was promised that NATO would not move closer to Russia by the collective west. But then they did, and continue to try to surround Russia. Why is this never discussed?

Academics have discussed this A LOT, especially over recent years as declassified govt documents from the early 1990s have become available.
Four points:
1. Nothing was given, or asked for, in writing.
2. Verbal statements at the time about NATO not moving 'to the east' were sought, understood - and given - in the specific context of the-then DDR. Pledges there were made and kept.
3. As late as August 1993 President Boris Yeltsin publicly stated that NATO enlargement to Poland did not threaten Russia's security interests.
4. Even with Sweden and Finland added, Russia only shares 12 per cent of its borders with NATO member states, so not exactly "surrounded".
So let's indeed debate.....but not simply assume.😊

Well, let`s compare the US nuclear doctrine with the Russian nuclear doctrine. As I recall, since G. W. Bush, the US uses a preemptive attack doctrine. Let see now the Russian modification to nuclear doctrine
The USA, through-out the Cold War (1.0) maintained a nuclear posture that explicitly and openly stated its intentions to use ("battlefield", or "tactical") nuclear weapons in Europe to defend against an anticipated overwhelming land assault by Soviet forces. The US and its vassals never had enough forces to contend with a full-on Soviet invasion, and they knew it. Their only hope was to play the "mad dog" strategy. And now, when the tables are turned, they predictably want to paint this as somehow a unique and "evil" threat against all of humanity, and lay the blame solely at the door of Russia.
They may get away with it too, thanks to the systematic defunding of history as a specialization and academic subject, both at the grammar school and university level. Depriving humanity of our historical memory is the surest route for the Deep State to have free reign in manipulating us in the "Zen" present where the past does not exist.
Just NATO- the rest of world gets along with Russia just fine.
