Man, the only way I played Trackmania back in the day was hotseat mode. We'd run an hdmi cable to the tv in the living room and everyone would watch the runs until it was their turn at the computer. Mega fun.

This was a fun stream. And I know you won't play to ever actually grind this (and I totally understand why lol), but I did like how during it we were theory crafting ways to optimize the run for the future.

I don't stay super up to date on stuff and didn't believe you at first about console launch. Literally screamed when I searched it. There's a legion (okay like 8 max) of people I got into TM from Turbo that have been salty at me about pc and TM2020. So unbelievably excited!!!

I wonder if you can optimize this by adding the checkpoints to the long jump map. also - does the 1001 Finishes one care about if the Finishes are collected after the Checkpoints or can you place 10 finishes before the last checkpoint and finish it all on the way?
14:12 this map is just one of those gta videos where theres a car driving down a slope but theres a bunch of obstacles that make it hard to do
for the 26:31 map holding forward+brake+right wouldve given a setup that basically guarantees a 20 second fin

you could've combined the "build a map" with the checkpoints and finishes achievement, just build a straight map with one red turbo at the start, a ton of checkpoints and a finish - then keep driving that map over and over to rack up cp's and finishes.

what does block mixing mean?
block mixing refers to placing blocks into each other, which back in the past was only possible through external tools and literally hacking the editor, but seems to be a built-in feature with the current trackmania

I think to be maximum efficient it would've been best to do all the grindy achievements last so you use all the air meters/checkpoints etc you accumulated over the other achievements :) .

my brain: well if each one takes about 2.5 seconds then that would be 1250 seconds which when divided by 60 seconds per minute is in fact just over 20 minutes.

Wirtual is not a speed runner idk how he won the speed runner award when there are so many real speed runners that deserve the award so much more such as Dark Viper AU to name 1 real speed runner.

could you theoretically build a map to optimize the jump 500 m achievement by having 100 jumps on a press forward map? Doing the jump map 100 times vs full speed 500 jumps. You could incorporate the 1 km height and part of the 364 km driven achievements as well.
Edit: there's all sorts of other achievements you could incorporate in such map, like the 10.000 checkpoints, the go fast 100 times and I am speed
Us mere mortals will get those naturally in trying to get the AMs for the campaign and TotD tracks.

Can I watch the full run somewhere? I'm a trophy hunter on psn and I love runs like this. I'm one of too few people that has a platinum for TM Turbo, and aiming to get this one as well.
Summer 2020-19 is an iconic map.
1:05 You can build track with many red boosters to achve 575km/h, and 998km/h. 4 achivment in one.
If you actually watch the video you might see that he did, in fact, build a map to go fast.
@@nukewurld he build This map earler , not in the challenge time. He can build it instead of this Tiny map. Without preparing he will spend a lot more time. For the achivment (build your first map) he can build this speedy red boosters map.
