@oneseeker2 This is a tradition whenever Duke beats UNC in Cameron or wins a national championship. They have to get a fire permit before doing it. The benches are built every year and placed in front of the dorms on West and East campuses for precisely this purpose. Hope this helps provide a bit of context.
