    The extensions are UPSIDE DOWN! The bike's riser is supposed to fit into the relief on the top of the extension. The relief/pocket is NOT for the bushing. Order extensions for riser bar size diameter NOT handle bar size.

    Thanks for the video! Got mine installed tonight. Cables needed to be moved around a bit to let in some slack but that's about it. They look great and add some nice height.

    I am back here again for 2 inch extension instead of 1 inch i have now. Question about bolt size though... you added 5 inch bolt to do the job and I wonder if I can get away with 4 1/4?

    • @djjaimelopez
      @djjaimelopez  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’d stick with the 5 inch for a safety piece of mind.

    Hi, thank you for your video. the original cables are not too tight after? they do not interfere to turn? thanks

    • @djjaimelopez
      @djjaimelopez  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You’re welcome and the original cables are not tight with this 2 inch riser. I haven’t had issues with turning. If you go any higher, the cables will need to be extended.

    This might seem like a stupid question but what way up does the recessed end of the risers go? Does the recessed end mate with the end of the handlebars or does it go over the inserts in the top of the triple tree?

    • @djjaimelopez
      @djjaimelopez  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The recessed end went downward.

  • @paulson9616

    Which side is up and down toward triple tree? I just got mine from LA Chopoer and one side is flat and other side has some sort of well (pocket) on them. Comes with no illustration or installatiin manual.

    • @djjaimelopez
      @djjaimelopez  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      paul son the “pocket” side went down on mine. My handlebars had a “pocket” that went over the riser. Hope this helps

      @@djjaimelopez do you have or had any issues with any high speed vibration or anything? I was thinking to use pocket side jointng of the existing bar until watching TH-cam video like yours and others. In addition, the existing washer embedded on top of the triple tree also needs to be removed? I am doing this upgrade tomorrow and hope all is going to be fine.

    • @djjaimelopez
      @djjaimelopez  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      paul son I don’t have any issues with high speed vibrations and yes the washer was removed. It was a fairly quick install, good luck on yours! Glad to help if any issues arise.

      B) top washer needs to be removed.

    Have you noticed excessive wiggle play in the tbars with those extensions combined with handlebar riser?

    • @djjaimelopez

    Do you get rid of the washers on the tree? Or do you reuse them?

    • @djjaimelopez

      Christopher de Klerk the only washer I reused were the ones on the bolt. Under the riser, I did not re use them.

    • @djjaimelopez
      @djjaimelopez  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      bmac7576 yes I had to use lock tight. I actually had to go back and add it because I didn’t at first and it loosened a bit. No issues after adding lock tight.

    Did you have to pull your cables up? And untie them from under the tank somewhere to get the extra length needed for the risers?

      I did not have to untie them. As I raised up my handlebar, I just pulled up the cables for some slack.
