That line about the Pope is pretty funny.
So Matpat got to meet the Pope for some reason...idk why. But as a gift, he gave the Pope a copy of Undertale due to the pacifism message the game has. And there's actually some evidence he played it, cause the Pope heard Megalovania later on and he recognized it

Apparently MatPat got chosen as a representative of the TH-cam Community. Gifts are presented to the Pope as a symbolic gesture, and he chose Undertale since the messages of Undertale line up with catholic teachings. Don't ask me why he got chosen, my guess is that his position as both an entertainer and, to some extent, an educator led to him being chosen.
This song is more or less 'Team Theorists References The Song'. Everything is so amazingly put together and I believe it was one of Mat's editors who did most of the heavy lifting for the visuals. Also the pope line is about how MatPat got to meet the pope with some other people, everyone had a gift for the pope and MatPat's was a copy of Undertale.
It really lets you know which people have seriously been following Matpat or at least know his more notable theories from seeing how many people go 'huh?' to the lyrics in the song.

the "scottgames teaser" is a reference to some FNAF teaser images in the past where some of the images teased were very dark, and you kinda have to brigten it up in photoshop to unlock some secret clues and hints.

Pretty much every single line in the song is a reference to an existing thing from the Theorists. I am half tempted to just go through it line by line and explain what I know

"How fast does a hedgehog go?" - A reoccuring theory for GT with multiple vids on it and one of the oldest
"Frogger might not last in biology class" - Didn't actually know this one until I searched it but there's a Game Theory about Frogger
"But have you tried to dissect a toad" - There's a GT vid about trying to figure out what a toad is
"How creepers get to explode" - GT vid about what MC creepers are, man-made creatures from the theory if I remember
"You'll never guess what happened to the guests that were left in that restaurant though" - Reference to FNAF
"You're not a Scottgames Teaser, you're already bright enough" - Reference to FNAF and it's creator Scott, more so in the teaser's Scott made of the games where clues were hidden in them but we had to up the brightness of every single teaser we got
"So sit back and grab a diet coke" - Matpat is a massive diet coke addict
"Or a can full of human souls" - Reference to the game and GT vid about Onlycans and the souls trapped inside of cans

"Build a city in the sky... The glass will probably be broken" - didn't type the whole thing but those lines reference two bioshock GT vids that I haven't watched
"Then it's still more likely than the FNAF box ever opening" - FNAF box is a mystery in FNAF that's just never going to be solved, like Scott confirmed he changed what he thinks is inside the box so many times
"Carrion Flesh" - An episode from one of the series hosted by another person, Austin, who has now split off to their own channel(Shoddycast), made a Carrion theory
"Marionettes" - FNAF
"Keeping Companions fed" - The game Cooking Companions where GT has a theory about Baba Yaga
"How old Ash Ketchum gets" - just an actual Pokemon Game Theory

"But you aren't as rich as Luigi" - Luigi's Mansion, Not just the mansion but the items inside were calculated and Luigi is really rich.

Also just wanted to say at the second to the last visual on the monitor at the end, before the original Game Theory intro, showed Ross, a member of the Game Theorist and a good friend of Matpat that unfortunately passed on of his own choosing(That's as tactful as I can make it). We really miss him

It’s from fnaf obviously and the creator (account name) scottsgames constantly released new pictures/teasers, and they ALWAYS had something hidden in them once you put those into some editor and put the brightness to maximum. Basically the first thing every fnaf theorist does with anything from Scott is to brighten it immediately 😂
As a fan of GT and their other channels since 2016, it makes me laugh when someone doesn't know all the theories Mat has and they get their mind blown over and over. Trust me you'll go down a tunnel you can't leave, love it lmao.
Sans is Ness is probably Matpat's most imfamous theory.

Matpat has a cameo as a waiter, and his nametag says Ness. Scott Cawthon, the creator of Fnaf, specifically wanted his name to be Ness because of that theory.
If Sans is Ness, and MatPat is Ness, does that mean MatPat is Sans?

The "But you're not a ScottsGames teaser is a reference to how every teaser for just about every FNAF game had hidden details that could only be seen when brightening them up. I've been watching FNAF theories and stuff about the teasers since.. whenever the second game released XD

The ScottGames teaser thing is a reference to how Scott Cawthon, the creator of FNAF, used to often post teaser images for his upcoming games on his website, ScottGames. Viewers quickly realized that if you brightened up the images, you would find hidden messages and stuff in the shadows.

Also, I think it would be interesting to see a few reactions to some Game Theory videos. Or Film Theory. Or the two newer channels, Food Theory and Style Theory.

The Scottgames teaser line is referencing how most of the secrets hidden in Scott Cawthon's teasers were found by increasing its brightness...
The Scottgames Teaser joke was because there were always details hidden only able to be seen if you brightened up the pictures

The brightness line is probably about how most of them tend to be purposely misleading and some secrets cant be seen unless you turn the opacity and brightness up

Yes, Fnaf was originally made by Scott Cowthon and Scott'sgames was his website where he would post teaser images of his early Fnaf games. The joke in the song is referring to how, in those early days, those teasers were always super dark, so you'd have to up the brightness in Photoshop to see the actual image.

From what i gathered, which was much later, with the Scottgames Teaser, one or multiple of the teaser had hints and clues and Easter eggs hidden from being really dark, so when you brightened the image, you'd see the hints. One of them if i remember correctly, for FNAF 4, when brightened, it revealed numbers
