  • I was recently running around Hong Kong. A three hour trip from Bangkok, Thailand. We visited the Star Ferry, Peak Tram, Light Show On the Bay and a pub crawl.

      I love Hong Kong. Small alleys to explore. Amazing food. Plus, I love any city near the water. Crossing the harbor for $1 dollar is nice too

    stayed at hotel nikko great staff was very nice great view…the market shop was very dangerous dont haggle prices they get very abusive…disney was half closed too…so never would return to hong kong again…Thailand is the absolute best..best people best food best everything..

      It's different for everyone. I've been to dangerous places in the world and I would put Hong Kong way at the bottom of that list. There are places in Central America I've been, you can be robbed just for a cell phone. As far as abusive, yes it's not Thailand. I changed my taxi destination and he started yelling in Chinese. To me that's not abusive, that's just funny. Many Chinese people are just loud. I can imagine trying to get a lower price at Stanley Market might get you a scolding. When in Rome, do as the Romans do. Just yell back. They say the same about my fellow Americans. But, I try to keep mellow. Unless I'm getting yelled at. Once you yell back, they back down. But it's true, that won't ever happen in Thailand

    I love Hong Kong and visited in March 2024. I am planning to visit Singapore and Malaysia soon but afraid to visit Thailand. I heard that it’s not a safe place. I am planning to watch your video of Bangkok to decide if I should join a tour group or not.

    • @EagerExpat

      I'd say Thailand is 100 times more safe than Hong Kong or Malaysia. You'll find pickpockets and those type scams in any big city. There have been some bar fights with security guards in the news lately. Ya, don't do that, and you'll be fine in Thailand.

      @@EagerExpat pickpockets are everywhere, but I heard there are different scams in Thailand.

      @@catmi3068 Well, I'm a guy who has visited over 100 countries. I chose to move to Thailand for a reason. Don't pay attention to the trolls on Facebook or Reddit. Come see for yourself. I'm unaware of any scams in Thailand, unless you're looking for trouble in a redlight area.

    • @EagerExpat
      @EagerExpat  29 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It cost more than Thailand. But, you can still find a bargain. Or stay at a $200 place for free on points. Like I do
