@@chuckles9702 or, he had it a long time ago, and selected fighter because it was somewhat useful, but never bothered to change it ever since.
If I'd equipped fighter instead of radar in that DM somehow, I would've made every effort to keep the team guessing rather than launch the catapult fighter and confirm fears.

I looked up the DM player and it posted him as having ONE battle played in that ship, with less than 1000 battles played on his account. That being said, he should have known to take radar and the fact that he didn't is just a reflection of the poor state of play for ranked battles.

I’m pretty sure Des Moines comes with fighters when you get the ship and not the radar so I’ll give him a pass for that. The Hayate might not be a great player but he sure as hell is a funny guy

The Des Moines staying at the back is inexcusable though, maybe a little if he accidentally left radar for spotter but he didn’t even have that either so no excuse to be that far back

I went into a battle with a DM with fighters before I realized that they are the default. I was very sad when I tried to radar a DD (same hotkey as Baltimore) and found that all it got me was an airplane friend.
How do you get to a RANKED battle in a tier X tech tree ship not checking consumables before pressing "Battle"? It honestly baffles me.
@@juankovacs6033 I go into battle without camos and flags all the time. Sometimes you forget to check.
I just noticed that you can see welders on the side of the ship when the repair consumable is active.
That's from a few patches back, welding for heal, flashing lights and I think small steam clouds for damage control.
It was the same patch they updated AA visuals.

Akshually Jingles, the torpedoes at around 6 minutes appear to be from the friendly Condé who just died, as there are 4 of them and Shima has 15 of them. You can see the Shima launching his torpedoes a few seconds later
To be fair to MJ, 20 km Shima torps are so slow and take so long to reach 20 km destination, that you can launch second sets with first ones still in the water
Also, the Torpedoes at 8:50 were Schlieffen torpedoes, not Shima torpedoes, judging by the fact there were 4 (a fifth would not have clipped an island, spread would be too tight for that) and their less then pedestrian sailing speed.
It's not a proper Jingles video unless an "Actually, Jingles..." comment is in the top 3 haha

I love the Hayate players response to the Schlieffen revealing his location to StonedYogi's team. I would have given that Hayate a compliment for being a nice person even if he was a 38% WR player, because I want to game with friendly people, not d*ckheads.
To give the Des Moines player the benefit of the doubt; I'm pretty sure when you get the Des Moines, the fighter plane is the consumable in the slot and you have to change it to the radar (It is that way on lower tier USN cruisers that have radar and aircraft in the same slot), so maybe he's just unlocked it and forgot to put radar in. Again, at least he's not an absolute cancer-player like the enemy Schlieffen...

in his defense: a lot of people forget the hillarious range on these torps. When the Schlieffen just came out I got stealth torped (two hits) by a Schlieffen, that had not been spotted yet,, sitting in a cap with my Somers ass in the direction where the enemy dd was^^

@@The_MightyJingles it is not a jingles video if he doesn't call half of the battle participants by the wrong ship/tank names and gets most of the gun types and ammo wrong. I think he does it on purpose as he knows he'll get 10x as many comments with viewers correcting him which makes the YT algo happy when it sees more user interaction and ranks the video higher. He's not daft.
Giving away your teams position is a bannable offense! Hopefully WG sees this and does the right thing!

You know, this reminded me of my past. I used to be toxic in chat. Past tense because I learnt the error of my ways, apologised to the players I trash talked to and took a more peaceful approach to life in general. Who knows, maybe one day that player could be a better person.

10:00 Yogi f-ed up big time... I would have popped the spotter plane to catch the Shima, and after Shima was initially spotted I would have switch to HE...
Also Yamato has the same armor layout on the aft part of its citadel so the other yamato should have known that... This is the reason why Yamato captains prefer to always stay nose-in...

I remember Maxhimus without even needing to check my blacklist. You'll never forget the taste such player leaves in your mouth after only 1 game with them. I had probably 3 or 4 with him, unfortunately.
As a Norwegian, my best guess the DM is a cowardly Dane. If not, we need to sit down and have an intervention.

That Schlieffen reminds me of another Schlieffen player yesterday on the NA server. Was playing the Massachusetts and we were losing with just me and him left. He dies and starts insulting me because I can't magically turn the tide on my own against 5 enemies and then threw a fit when I typed GG when I was about to lose. still did over 200k damage that game :)

When the Shima tried to do his drive-by torp spread and ran away behind the smoke and only got spotted a few short times the Yamato should've just brought up his spotter plane but he didn't. A mistake to be sure but a game losing one when looking at it from the conclusion of the game.

Well if the PvE rage is too much there are operations. I log on once a night or so, do a couple operations, have my fun and hit the sack. I think it's a nice stress reliever. But full WG PvE? Yeah, LA rush hour traffic is less toxic.
I have just looked up the stats for the Des Moines & indeed this was his first & only battle in her thus far, so we can definitely give them the benefit of the doubt with the fighter loadout :)
I mean you still have to get through T8/9 where radar is absolutely a thing

I have been corrected as he actually has one Random battle & 43 battles in Ranked . . . didn't spot that oops :)
When I first got upper level American cruisers, I did not realize that consumables with a white square around them can be swapped out. Played them without radar because they did not default to radar. I agree that we should give the DM player the benefit of the doubt.
I am so triggered that he never used his spotter plane when he should have. When the Shima was in the smoke and spotted if he had used his spotter plane he probably would have spotted him. At any point after when he was alone behind the island he could have used the spotter plane to spot torps and maybe the shima as well. ughhhh

By the way Jingles, Yamato also has a similar weakness towards the rear of the ship.
Its just behind the plane hangars. Its the shape of the citadel, which is the same on either end of the ship.
in addition, you don't need to aim for superstructure AP shots on the Yammy in a Yamato, because Yamato overmatches its own bow.
Some of that battle chat reminds me of a game in my hatsuharu (Old T7 version) once where a Budiuony I killed on like 2k health with my guns started to rage in battle chat and call me a coward and my response was "Dude I'm a Japanese DD we're the biggest cowards of them all" Ever since then when I got the rat flag I fly that on most of my DDs to symbolize my game play as a rat and a coward among the enemy ranks lol

I let my chinchillas for a walk in the kitchen every two days. While doing that, I often entertain myself by watching youtube, although the pets are usually on high alert due to some unknown person aparrently present in the room. The only voice, apart from mine, that they are not bothered by belongs to Mighty Jingles. Time to subscribe I guess.
I'll play devil's advocate here for the Des Moines, the catapult fighter is the default config of the ship (if it's like the Buffalo), so he might have unlocked it recently and didn't know or forgot to swap it out...
either that or he's in full AA build... which I don't know how viable it is in ranked (aren't cvs denied ranked battles this season?)
But to get to Des Moines you have to have played 2 radar cruisers. Shouldn't be a surprise that DM has one too.

I don't blame DM for not talking or possibly even muting them. Every game for me there's half the team blaming the opposite class for anything they can think of and occasionally bitching in all chat to the enemy who clearly doesn't give a shit about our drama. DD dies - "Fucking BB camping noobs". BB dies - "Fucking DD no spot". Literally anyone dies - "Noob CV no support". Sometimes the best person in the game is the person who just keeps their mouth shut and ignores the others.

I stopped watching my WR about 3 days ago, met a commitment to check it out only once every month. I'm a happy player now and feel better and certainly without frustration will start playing better.
Well, i do like to check out my WR to see it if is going up, but I don't beat myself over the head if it's dropping a day. Fact is, there is only so little you can do to get a win, just do your best and allow other player to do their best. And really, there is no obligation whatsoever to keep on playing if you are not enjoying yourself.
You know Jingles, that 2 out of 5 is 40% right?

I'm a senior within a gaming group called The Black Order or "TBO" and if that was one of my guys sounding off in public chat like that I'd spend 5 minutes gripping him for it and then kick him out of the group.

That DM was terrible...wow. Absolutely no use. EVEN with a FP consume had he supported and sailed with the team, he could have helped deal with the DDs sooner

Jingles I don't play WoW, I get enough self-induced punishment from WoT game play. That being said, I enjoy watching these sea battles just based on your commentary alone. The tone of your voice is rather calming for some unexplained psychological reason. I don't know if it is the Brit "accent", the rate of speech or what, but it works. The prior military influenced humor definitely helps. If the TH-cam and the OnlyFans gigs don't work out for you, then you can always grab a deal doing those transcendental meditation voice recordings. Just a thought I figured I'd pass along, back to the floggings.

Another great video of a player, who really has some issues. Well, we could all see, that he was the champion of his team, with... Oh wait. Didi he actually do anything measurable? Not really.
BTW Jingles, Morten is indeed also a common name in Denmark, although most Danes knows at least some english, since we get it quite early on school, with of course some who just don't learn it. But it then makes me wonder, how he could find this game, install it and start to play it. And even get a tier 10 ship.
WHen you first buy a DM what is the default consumable? So long since I got mine I have forgot but I thought someone said it was not radar so is it possible brand new DM?

Pretty sure Schlieffen used a mod announcing win rates. Hayate's responses are golden, what a comedian and an upstanding digital citizen.
To be completely fair to the friendly DM, the stock consumable configuration of DM is fighters and dfaa instead of radar and hydro. It's entirely possible it is his first battle in DM and the poor soul forgot to switch his consumables...

i think that the des moines was fully capable of speaking english- he was simply so embarrassed that he accidentally took the fighter consumable that he didn't want to say anything
Hayate looked like a solid team player. Not a superstar but definitely not a 38%WR potato. Looked like a simple case of him being out spotted by the shimakaze in the first half of the game and so not able to make a big difference until the late game, where the most important thing for a DD captain to be is alive. Would be happy to see that player on my team any day.
Shima may outspot hayate but it has dpm to compensate and Shima had no support on that side of the map there's no reason to not go take that fight especially when you have support in a hayate
@@benjiro8793 2 knots but in this it's a 3v1 in favor of the hayate there's no reason for him not to chase him down since he should always outgun a Shima especially since when the Shima smokes there's no way to spot the hayate. DD kills are the most important thing in a game without cvs and when you have a dd with a big advantage in a gun fight he needs to prioritize making that fight happen
After the 5th opening salvo I was internally screaming at our protagonist to maybe take the result of the first 4 volleys into consideration and start leading properly. So many missed citadels...
And I must say I find it fascinating that it didn't bother Jingles at all that he saw the torps, said they were 20 km shima torps, in the next second you see our Shima 26km away and the torps still keep trucking on, and he had absolutely no issue with that xD 20-30km, whats the difference

Surprised I had to scroll this far to see someone pointing that out. There were at least two opportunities very early in the match that would very likely have been a devstrike and swung the game that were completely flubbed instead.
Wow, that Des Moines player. If I'm being totally honest I might have been salty in the chat at him. I'm not afraid to admit sometimes I do get chat bans, and I know plenty of other level headed players who do. Obviously its very frustrating having players like these ruin games and I feel the least I can do to vent that anger is let them know :)

Now as for the map reference I can say that the Schlieffen I say that the Boy Scouts can thankfully say, " He is NOT one of Ours ", and the Hayate may be a Boy Scout doing a 'good turn dally' by correcting the map reference, Admiral, I am glad the RN added to your calling the Naval side of entertainment, LOLOL.

Ahh that des moines 🙃 , thats why i don't bother with ranked cause you'd expect people playing ranked to be half good. Totally different in random battles though , where you can understand that there are casual players in the game as well.
Still ranked at least bring some steel and gold while you have to deal with only half the ape-count you would generally need to be in battle in randoms :)
A lot of players who mainly play co-op will use ranked to try to grind some steel. They rely on others to carry them to enough victories.

@@Legendendear - previous clan - the most prolific co-op players who also did not play randoms - talked about their strategy to get steel openly. I heard it first hand. As for me - never played a single ranked game, it just does not interest me at all. I earn enough steel via daily missions (up to 14,400 per year) and snowflakes (currently 12,000 per event). Why suffer through ranked for a few hundred steel?

Reminds me of my ranked match yesterday: A Halland and me in a DM with low health left in the final stage, 2 caps vs 1, 3 minutes to go, about equal in points.
Schlieffen player who got sank early in game wants me, the "IDIOT DEMOINES" (who radared both enemy dds and sank them btw), to go and hunt the remaining Stalingrad. I had no idea how much hp that one had left, so I wrote "I stay dark and block cap C, Halland caps B, we win on points". I've also clicked the map to indicate where the Stalingrad is (thanks to Radio Location) to help Halland avoid her. The Schlieffen player continued to write insults.
In the end we won, I came first, that Schlieffen guy second last, and of course I've received negative karma ...

Pretty sure one more outburst like that from Schlieffen, and he's out of the clan, he lost the clan a pretty big margin of their chance of victory by constantly monitoring positions and lashing out at Hayate and Venezia. I do have to admit, though, i'd want to be around the Hayate, they're the most chill person i've seen despite being harrased, and that lucky winning torp strike even when it was revealed by his clanmate was a shocker.

Have had a fair number of these types of battles. One drunk bugger mouthing off while doing worse than the rest of the team... Always an interesting day.
As to the stats, I have found many of the karen players will pop a web browser to pull stats rather than look it up in game. There are some salty skippers who feel stat shaming is the way to go. Ironic that most of them also are CC warriors and have absolutely zero demonstrable experience in 90% of the ships in the game, but of course they know how to coach you on any particular ship.
Somedays I wish that teamkill damage still worked. I used to just sink them and then burn through 3 rounds of co-op real fast to ditch the pink bloomers
There needs to be an instant challenge mode where after the random, you go straight to 1v1 against the guy cursing you.

Jingles my question to you. Is why try to look up the stats of the Hayate. And not the Stats of the Schlieffen. I am almost certain That he has his Stats hidden as well. And they are probably as bad or worse then the Hayate that he spent the match bitching about.

I was also once attacked by a unicum player in one battle, because "Booh, camper!" and when I told him that it is not the wisest idea to rush to the front in a battleship, he kept on insulting me. In the end, I was helping to carry my team while he was already dead uselessly and I ended up being better in this battle. Shit happens...
