Well done for looking after your mum so well. I had to put my dad in a care home as I was working full time. It was the worst thing I could have done and he deteriorated rapidly.
Unrelated but thankyou for being the voice of reason standing up for the police officers especially that poor officer at Manchester who has been thrown under a bus by the Chief Constable, Yvette Cooper and the Labour MP. Keep doing what you're doing you're an amazing person 👏 👏

I took early retirement from the Met ( only had another 18 months to go so not too bad) because my wife's Multiple sclerosis had progressed to point were I had to spend more time caring for her.
I'm lucky that my police pension is decent because I don't know how I would survive getting £81.90 carers allowance per week. Yes my wife gets PIP but without the pension life would be very difficult.
