    wow. Watching this made me go flashback to 2007 when i was trained there as aviation security warden & paramilitary course.
    Abandon Ndolo, swaleh & salim congrats guys. I see you are still doing great job.
    Ehh 3 hours sleep & also been given only one set of uniform was very hard. You have to wear the uniform during the day & & it has to be washed, dried & ironed b4 the midnight for the following day morning inspection.

    We or let me say I, did heavier excise as a sports fellow in High school for four straight years that I struggle to get convinced that three months training will make a thing out of a civilian to an astute askari. And for sleep from Form Three to Form Four I woke up as per school rules at 4:30 am and studies ended at 11pm, washings and all that you went to bed past mid-night. I feel am (more?) than a ranger only that I cant shoot.

    This looks ok but am looking at the numbers training and wondering why such a small number? The poachers are numerous!!! 3 hours sleep is ridiculous.Who will be alert and perform with peak excellence with only 3 hrs of sleep??? It doesn't have to be this brutal! Also find out from IAPF(International Anti-poaching Foundation) equipment to monitor the field and radio communication from the base watching the field on monitoring screens to ease the burden on the individual rangers.

    • @189kuzco
      @189kuzco 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      sleep deprivation during training is important because the recruits/rangers need to be able to cope and operate while tired and outside their comfort zone. if they are sent on a mission in real time they may not have the comfort of a full nights sleep as they need to keep surveillance on the potential threat and if they are working in small teams which i assume they do, then they will need to change over often to prevent anyone dozing off on duty. so it may seem brutal but this is how you make a good unit that can operate in any mental state and get the job done. hope you find this helpful.

      Chief check out video series on TH-cam named BUDS Class 234. It's no longer about technique these days; it's about the character of the people that you train.

      Mohamed almaqtari The Kenya Wildlife Service is being trained to contain heavily armed poachers. Their mandate is not to kill, but to capture them alive and take them to court. What most global security experts recommend, is to kill them on sight and make the poaching business a risky & suicidal venture. I agree with them.
