My first tour was with an infantry unit in 2005 at Camp TQ,Iraq,we did joint missions with the marines. I'd volunteer to go to Kenya in aheart-beat,but,I'm too banged up and have too many issues going on for it now. I had to medically discharge from the guard with the injuries from Iraq tours,so glad I went to multiple tours to Iraq tho,saw a lot,did a lot and learned a lot. GO-GUARD !!! LOL.
Am sure they are safer in Kenya from the gun violence in the US.
Yet Africa and Africans depend on them for support. Many would take the opportunity to migrate there without second thoughts. The US might have their own flaws, but no country in Africa measures to them in any way.

This USA Manda Bay military base in Kenya is always active, with the threats from Alshabab always there, Alshabab has attacked this camp numerous times, The USA and Kenyan Army have to be very vigilant, the video shows calm but this is a hot US military camp, with constant threat from Alshabab....They have to be on alert as Drones and fighter jets are not allowed in Kenyan airspace so when there is an attack, its firepower vs firepower....shows smiles in the day but at night keenness is vital as Alshabab is watching

The us approved drone strikes in Kenya after manda attack only to realize they needed consent from our authorities to proceed ....they also wanted to consider kenya a combat zone so that troops stationed in Kenya can be tax free it was opposed(they clearly understood the consequence of announcing kenya a combat zone)

US military presence in Kenya is crucial for tackling terrorism in Somalia which can spread rapidly if not constantly dealt with. If they leave all these areas then mainland US will be in even bigger trouble, worse than 911. US embassies in middle East and Africa will be in trouble. International US companies and hotels will be in trouble. All these terror organisations will grow again rapidly.

In fact we killed more Al-Sahaab militants than they killed us. Unless you consider 19 dead(USA) vs 300(Al-Sahaab) dead a lose. The USA/West then allowed other African countries to handle the mess with OUR assistance and intel.
