I'm one of those that have secondary dysmenorrhea- it means I have a menstrual cycle just like any other woman, BUT mine is much MUCH more painful. This is because people who have secondary dysmenorrhea usually have an underlying condition (which I choose not to disclose exactly what it is). But menstrual cycles can certainly be painful, and for me, and/or for friends of mine who have this condition, it's painful to the point that we have to go to the hospital for direct injections of pain medication or in my case- have ambulances called. I scream out in pain, I faint from anemic (loss of blood) symptoms, I have cold sweat, chills, and dizziness and due to the surge in hormones, people who have menstrual cycles can also get constant splitting headaches, and sensitivity to light, scents and/or sound. These are just examples which relate to me personally- I have to close my blinds and curtains completely because of my sensitivity, I sleep on the floor if the pain is so bad that I can't get on the bed, etc. It's not fun. It's not easy. I have so much empathy for any other female who has to go through the same pain as mine, if not worse.

And also instead of pee, it's bloody slime. Also women's hygiene articles are way overpriced and most pads are little more than plastic which you now have sticking to your bum. Everything sucks, you feel icky and disgusting and sometimes when there's a big wave you wonder wether your pad made it through and try to sneakily make for the nearest bathroom. HoSeung is such a girl. I love that he's understanding because he has a younger sister. Most men that aren't around women on the regular as they grow up really don't have any understanding of how bad periods can be for women - both pain and hormonal wise. It's really not something that a woman has control over, so we get sensitive when guys ask "are you on your period" any time we act annoyed about something - it's also a sexist ass thing to say, like women can only be annoyed if they are on their period.

The point is that stupid men like you assume the only reason a woman can be annoyed is if she's on her period... which is why that is the first thing you ask regardless of if a woman has a right to be upset.

say I really like Ho Seung’s response to the question about periods. He must be an awesome big brother. I never had sisters but had friends in high school who when they had their period had to skip class. Also there was a Kdrama few years back about a couple who went back in time. The husband knew how to message the back of his wife when she had her period.
I would prefer having mood swing during my period as opposed to having CRAMPS.
I get that but the mental hell is hell still.

I have cramps BEFORE my period, DURING my period and AFTER my period. As for the mood swings... Girl, I can primise you that it's nowhere as close as being "better" than cramps... It can get so bad that I even had depressive episodes...

Adorable! That was super cute to watch. So glad I don't have to worry about any of that anymore now that I have an older French guy. He is just like, whatever. It's cool. We all worry about too much about stuff when we are in our youth and already perfect. Just enjoy life and one another! :) And being young!

The mental state also varies from person to person (from outright depression to nothing at all). The hormones are hell for most of us. I personally cannot get comfortable physically or mentally while on my period, though the pain is not too severe for me. Also imagine having no control over the time you wish to go to the bathroom. And also instead of pee, it's bloody slime. Also women's hygiene articles are way overpriced and most pads are little more than plastic which you now have sticking to your bum. Everything sucks, you feel icky and disgusting and sometimes when there's a big wave you wonder wether your pad made it through and try to sneakily make for the nearest bathroom.
