Can my cousin which is currently living and working (super stable) in Dubai sponsor my studies in Canada (I have already been accepted by a DLI and is already in the process of applying for a SP and an OWP for my husband)? Note that POF requirement is not a problem for him 2. Should my sponsor include in his affidavit of support the fact that my husband will be coming with me but as an open work permit holder or it is not necessary anymore (instead just mention the idea of tuition support only)? 3. In notarizing the affidavit of support, should it be notarized in the place where my cousin is currently working and residing or it could be done in our home country which is in the Philippines (since the notarization cost is quite high in Dubai)? My question goes for, these people won't leave Chile, I'll be the only one going there, those sponsor documents will still work? Hi, Yes that is possible. Make sure all documents are official and signed by a notary or lawyer if possible. But it is important that your study plan explains well how they are sponsoring and why? If they send you money, proof how they can afford it etc. Lastly it is always recommended to show some personal proof of funds as well. Hm not impossible. Need to show and proof very well how and why that person is sponsoring you. The more of your own proof of funds you can show the better though.

Thanks for your feedback. I am not sure I am understanding your question, but the more funds you can show the better. Paid tuition is a good form of proof, but you still need to show the funds for living expenses.

It depends on what they are sponsoring you with. Overall you need to meet the POF requirements (when you add everything up) If say they give you free accommodation you may need a little less cash fuds, but you still have to proof how and why they are sponsoring you.
The closer the sponsor is related to you, the better. It is good to have a back up or have another one if the first is not sufficient enough. But avoid having many weak sponsors. Rather one or two strong sponsors plus always have your own funds as well

There are no restrictions as to who can be your sponsor, however you have to explain in your letter how and why they are sponsoring you. They closer the sponsor is to you the better in general
