I just finished the Sky trilogy in 1 year and still have 9 games to go to be with everyone (Daybreak 2 included) so if there is a Sky remake, I can only skip it xd.
@@mount_tai Yeah to be fair you will most likely be caught up until they release in the west even if they get announced now. If they get announced, expect a 2025 or even 2026 release in Japan and then add 1 year after that for the western localized release and yeah... 2026 or 2027 most likely, unless NIS really goes crazy and releases both Daybreak 2 and Daybreak 3 aka Kai no Kiseki before the Japanese release of the Sky Remaster/Remake.
@unshelledmeltyrice9375 yes I agree, then I can get more friends to jump on Trails. Also Ys I and II. If this helps thaw the relationship between XSEED and Falcom then fans should pick this up. Hopefully NISA actually also announces a set date for Ys X at Anime Expo.
I was shocked by this one! I really didn't expect to see them partner with Xseed again. Hopefully, however, this is a sign of them giving them something in exchange for working on Sky trilogy and some updates to Could Steel 1 and 2... At least, I dare to dream.
Thanks for another video TKN. I found your channel not long after discovering the Trails series back in 2019 and I feel nothing but gratitude to have been on these wild journeys with these amazing characters. Looking forward to finally experiencing Kuro next week!
Been hoping for a proper *Blade II* card set from Nihon Falcon for years (I even tried talking to them on Twitter awhile back regarding this matter, but no response). In the end I had to print my own Blade II card set using "blurry images" from Cold Steel 2 game. It's unfortunate because Blade II is such a simple (and addictive) card game that definitely deserves more attention and love IMO!
@@frankynovianto7841 You dodged a bullet there 😂 but honestly I don't mind it! Joshua looks great, I will definitely get him! 😊 Falcom I am surrendering my wallet to you! 🙌🏻
To be fair, Crimson Sin/Daybreak 2 isn't much of a leak. At this point it kind of went without saying we'd eventually get it in the west, at least barring NIS's ongoing shakeups causing problems for their western localization/publishing arm. It's just a question of the timeline. Personally, I'm assuming around this time next year or so.
Trails in the Sky trilogy remake would reduce the barrier entry to the series immensely. Simply porting + remastering them just won't do, we can only hope Kondo would allocate resource to make this happen. Sky remake == wider audience. Also, Trails in the Sky often regarded as the written Trails there is--which I'm very much agreed. Falcom is literally sitting on a gold mine. Just imagine seeing the ending of Chapter 7 of Trails in Sky SC in full HD.
Falcon would surprise us in this anniversary, if they release sky trilogy remaster and cold steel I and II western on switch... I really whant to play this series, but without this games i think i'm going to lose a lot of content from story perspective..
I started the trails series with trails in the skies fc on psp. Bro I'm 40h there and still in the middle of the story . I have to say the narrative and chemistry between characters is crazy good , sadly gameplay is hard ngl , farming is not worth it , the key is orb management.
I had a feeling daybreak 2 was gonna be the big reveal release at anime expo. Gotta really hype it up as it didn't sell too well in japan. Especially mixed story wise. I also have a big feeling that falcom is gonna surprise us and sky remake/remaster and kai no kiseki may end up being simultaneous worldwide releases alongside japan.
It wouldn't make too much sense for Kai no Kiseki to release simultaneously worldwide before Daybreak 2 even gets translated. That'll sell very poorly in western markets. But as for the sky triology, they've already been released and fully translated, so I wouldn't be surprised if they released worldwide.
I hope NISA will release the Japanese port like they did with Kuro I. I bought it and although due to my very limited Japanese I couldn't get very far in the story, it was still fun to play and practise the language at the same time. And I LOVE the new combat - saves a lot of time when backtracking. Ooohhh, Falcom games are the only Day 1 purchases for me 😊❤😊
good stuff. I know it probably wouldn't sell well without serious updates, but i wish Falcom would consider reimagining the OG Gagharv trilogy Legend of Heroes games that were on the PSP. Song of the ocean actually had vague references to what would become trails in the sky, and besides it was an amazing heartfelt story that was easy to resonate with on many levels. most of all, it has JAN, the bestest jrpg good boy in all of jrpg's. he even gets a sidekick desert rat named rick.
Dragon Quest 2D-HD remake is my most hype game. I never played any of the Trails or Saga games but i heard you can start with Trails Through Daybreak no problem but some also suggests to start Trails in the Sky as well. That figure for Romancing Saga honestly might get me into the series if it wasnt JP only
I'm really hoping we get both Daybreak 2 and Kai announcements for 2025. I won't hold my breath on Kai that fast, but I know they could pull it off if they wanted after seeing them do 4 games last year. It would be great to be fully caught up in time for whatever is next.
Xseed announced a secret game to be shown at Anime Expo and had an image on their X account showing panels with about 5 games total and one left blank. Well just the other day a new XSEED post happened and it was accidentally done. They are going to be bringing Ys Oath in Felhgana remaster to the West.

After a story ark they have a habit of making these weird dungeon crawler fanservice games. Trails in the Sky the Third is like this as well. Crossbell never got one, so I am guessing Reverie is for both Crossbell and Erebonia. Anyway, that is why the structure is weird, the story ark games' story is structured much more in line with the Hero Journey. JRPGs arent as good as they used to be, sadly. The trails series is one of the very few good JRPGs out there anymore, glad there's a new trails coming in July.
After the Daybreak 2, there is also the Third installment of Calvard Arc called “The Legend of Heroes: Kai no Kiseki - Farewell O Zemuria”! It’ll be released in 2025 in Japanese, Mandarin, and Korean. No idea when it’ll be released in English.
I post here because the video mentions trails through daybreak 2 but i started 1 yesterday and i find it quite disturbing. It isn't a bad game(i'm not into it for long enough to judge) but the peronnality of MC isn't easy to get used to. It's night and day dompared to the goody two shoes that are Rean and lloyd(didn' play sky trilogy so i can't talk about Estelle/Joshua). The orbment/combat system seems harder to understand than in Cold steel. Am i the only one who is interested in the story but finds the gameplay not easy to get used to ?
Just beat daybreak English version. It took me a good while to end up liking the new main guy and his companions unfortunately. I still don’t like Agnes and the new fei character. I’m hoping the second one will make me like them better. I started with the crossbell games and instantly liked all the characters then got into cold steel and liked all the characters. Let me play as Rean again please lol 😂
