Hi Chris, my boyfriend and I watch your wonderful videos every week. I am very sorry to hear about the passing of your mom, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers 🙏. Keep those great videos coming, they're awesome!
I appreciate your adventures and have been following since the beginning. Back country tip on the backpack meals is to cut off several inches of the package with your knife after you have cooked the meal to allow easy access. I hope all is well with the family. Keep exploring!
God, Chris, I am so torn between which vehicle I like more, Orangy or the defender truck. Both are awesome in their own right, and while the Jeep is 150% the right tool for literally everything you do, that damned truck just calls to me with its classic design and sheet metal/ aluminum goodness. I think ultimately the Defender would be an incredible gift for your son that would give him something truly awesome to drive that is a part of yourself and keep that wonderful Defender in the family when you return to Orangy. I always look out for Orangy when I pass OK4WD and one day I hope to see it there and will stop in and thank you in person for sharing all your adventures and allowing all of us to live our wanderlust soul vicariously through you.
Praying that all goes well with your family. Hope to see you and your family doing well and having great adventures when the time is right. I am enjoying the Defender adventures. Much love for you Chris!
Another awesome exploration, AND you didn’t spill the water in your back pack meal! Thoughts and well wishes for your family, see you in a couple weeks.
Great episode! The wife and I visited Sedona on our 25th. Took the Jeep tour. Thoughts and prayers for you and your family. When you get your Jeep back maybe you could raffle off the truck? Safe travels Perry
I see rugged landscape,,,,I see a tent on the ground. I think 'snakes' , all kids of critters,,,,,and sleeping on the ground,,,,,perhaps the inside of the truck bed could be a sleeping space ?
Chris, you gotta start cooking again… I understand how easy the trail meals are…. But we miss you fixin the ham and cheese sandwiches and homemade pizzas!! Hope the Fam is ok and everything turns out well!!!
Damn hope everything goes ok for your family. Can't wait to see you back on the trail and making epic long beautiful back road adventures. Now that you have a LRA tank, you could go back to Canada.
To save money you could buy Mac n cheese single serving containers or rice a roni individual containers. They are pretty good especially if you make it with you personal touches.
Beautiful places, thank you for taking us there. I like the addition of Shannon’s comments in the voice overs. Praying for your family and for your safe travels.
I’m watching this episode and the wife, Debbie with From She to Me channel, is laughing and giggling at me. I ask, “Whats up?” She says, “You are watching Venture4WD while eating Big Cheez-It’s and that’s funny.” She’s right you know. And I like regular Cheez-It’s too. Best wishes to everyone who likes Cheez-It’s too!

Hey Chris, thoughts and prayers for you and your situation back east. Love the adventure, been following you since the beginning. I just bought a Jeep Cherokee, (project 🤠), but hope to have all the gremlins chased out soon and start my own adventure. Maybe we could meet up somewhere on the trail. Happy trails, safe travels in the coming weeks, my best to you and yours!
I know you said 1mil to troll us. More like stone/iron age. However...those rocks! 200 mil perhaps more...I don't know? Come on Geologists...I know you're lurking somewhere down below.
Thanks for the video I enjoyed seeing the history of Arizona and if I'm not mistaken them cave dwellings were part of the Apache Indians of course I could be wrong
Great scenery and your thoughtful comments are appreciated. Better than all this 'macho' 4x4 stuff one normally gets. You should write a guide book to all these places in America. Yes, write a book. Lovely old Tdi. It's what they are for and you have to remember that they are derived from the original Second World War jeep. Honest farm vehicle. My 1997 300 Tdi has done many tens of thousands of miles in Southern Africa with never a problem (except an oil cooler leak in the Koakoveld in Namibia which I fixed with Pratley's Putty). Regards from the UK.
Please don't share GPS to those ruins. I have been there a few times over the years, and every visit I see more vandalism. I have a nice picture of a Mojave Green Rattlesnake at that old farm house, will share if I can figure out how. Wondering how full the cistern was? I'm the guy on the motorcycle that met you briefly a couple of weeks ago in Prescott.
Love the videos, and I’m stoked to see my old Defender is living happily ever after in the sunshine. It’s great to see it out in the desert
Be well Chris! Take care of family; we'll be here when you upload the next one.
Family first. Take care.
No explanation necessary, family family family, always comes first. Hoping you and yours are well and safe, blessings to you Chris.
When the jeep is back in service, it will be a joyful event
4 low and slow... The golden words! Take time to enjoy your surroundings...👋

Are you heading to Overland Expo West? I’d like to meet you.
Hey Chris, what is the mount you are using for the iPad?
Sometimes the Defender looks like an RC car in your shots.
