Best video, ever! Scott & Greg you both do a masterful job at the 1:14 mark of covering your laughs when Scott says, 'Aaaggghhhhh!" (We know you were laughing at him, not the subject.) Mark, you held it together, but we saw you cutting your eyes at them!
      You four are the best!

About 37 years ago my dad stepped into the bathroom to check om my little sister. She was still little. He found her face down in the water. He yelled so loud that it took a long time to calm my sister down. She had been practicing holding her breath in the water. That is how a normal father reacts when he thinks his child is dead. When I told my finances dad that he died. He kept saying "NO NO NO! With tears in his voice. That's how a normal loving father reacts when he hears his child died.

Yes exactly! My dad and I were weeding the garden, no more than half a metre away from his pool and my 2 year old daughter, was helping us. Drowning can be such a quiet process and all I heard was one little "plop" behind us.
She had fallen in and was floating beneath the water looking up at me. It was surreal.
Dad and I both yelled and both jumped in fully dressed of course.
      That's terror! And that's normal!
Most Australians grow up in pools and at the beach, at the age of 66 I still do 50 laps most days at the local pool but we still have so many drownings...sorry I digress, I was reliving a potentially horrible experience. Excuse me.

@@sabrinavelt6300no worries on sharing how you and your dad experienced the same type of panick and horror, so sorry that happened to you too. Anytime a family member or a friend suddenly has been in an accident especially in front of you is understandably horrifying because when we have genuine care for them, all we wanna do is save and protect them in an instant without caring for our own safety ❤

My infant son passed away January 2022. He was disabled & was on hospice for 10 months. Regardless of the fact that my husband & I had both agreed that based on his quality of life we didn’t want medical intervention if he stopped breathing, I still did CPR, called 911 & called our hospice nurse. It is a natural instinct to try to save your child in that moment no matter what you have planned for prior to that point, I don’t care what anyone says.
This man never even tried to revive his children? Never performed CPR, didn’t call 911, nothing?

Holy crap. I had to do a double take when I saw this name. Anthony Todt was my family's physical therapist for many years.
I can't believe you guys are covering this. My family was a small part of this - initially, he was getting investigated for financial misconduct, and our family's insurance was being charged for extra sessions we never had. We had switched therapists about a year before the murders happened.
I have to share this video with my family. This is crazy.

He says the family had dessert, but he didn't eat it because he was on a diet. I think that would torment him way more than the memory of his dead family. It would be worth paying a guard to deliver this information to him.

I have previously mentioned how helpful I find the new format. Today let me tell you all how much I appreciate the unique outlooks each of you bring to the table. I totally enjoyed learning about water, music terms as they relate to how one says/presents something, after death beliefs, etc. from Mark. I very much liked hearing about Chase's learning about the human brain and his realization that it represented a person. I loved Greg's "amber" verb forms. And Scott's explanation of how a man should act regarding the death of his family was encouraging in how straightforward it was. I think the blend of perspectives and personalities makes your channel particularly unique, yet very educational.

I need to back up and attempt to make myself a little clearer.
I totally agree with you about names. A close friend of mine has an extremely talented stepdaughter named Amber. I very much like the name. A woman I worked with for years just died. Her name was Karen. She was not a "Karen".
What I do like to learn about is how language evolves based on what might be going on in society or how something is perceived by the majority. We now have the verb "google". We have all kinds of online "language" as a result of texting.
I particularly like to learn how others see things in ways I would never think of. Political cartoons provide the best example I can think of; I can strongly disagree with the opinion illustrated by the cartoon itself, but be somewhat in awe of the creative mind that gives a clear and strong message, most often without words.
Unfortunately, you are correct that our negative reactions towards a particular individual do sully a name. That part I don't like because, as you said, it is unfair to so many very nice people with the name that is now viewed so negatively.
I am a 75-year-old woman. I wish I could say that negative connotations eventually disappear. However, based on what I have seen over the years, I don't know if they always do.
You must be a kind, empathetic person to feel badly for all the other Ambers.

I came back to share one other observation. I don't know if I am right, but I think at least a lot of the negative language we use is related to women. For a while, after "Karen" became part of our vocabulary, a "Ken" appeared on a video. For a brief period, both "Karen" and "Ken" were in use. Soon, male or female, the only name used was "Karen". It might well be that is the case because she was the first, her case involved two races and two sexes, AND
a poor dog. That means a lot of people were repulsed for different reasons or for all of those reasons. I don't know.
However, I know the term "bitch" is now used to refer to men. "Douchebag" is a frequently used insult.
Again, it seems over the years that terms used to indicate a disliked person too often have to do with us women and / or our bodies.

He couldn't correct himself fast enough, so I believe he was remembering the actual killing, and without meaning to and under stress, he nearly said, "I covered her mouth with a pillow." Then, he quickly changes the focus to Megan and the mysterious bouncing knife.

    2) the way he's talking about her being there while finding the children dead, is like he's talking about a ghost. She appears, she talks after his questions and she never acts / touches him or them, beyond stabbing herself (and keeping talking).

So grateful for the explanation about life lessons! “We are watching a person who is uncomfortable getting angry, and when you see this, if the person is actually angry and you don’t see their actual response to anger but you see self-restraint and you see other little behaviours that are child-like which is exactly what you are seeing here. If you ever meet somebody like this, you are either facing somebody with low self-control or somebody who is going to push you in front of a bus to save themself because they doubt themselves that much. People with a high self-worth and high self-control are able to exhibit being angry without risk of violence. That’s the difference there.” (30min 35 secs)
