- No commentary on this one, guys. Ill just let the moving pictures tell the story. Suffice to say we've got low, cool looking, bumper-mounted oil cooler having, spoilered, old-school Japanese cars.

Looks like a load of fun. I wish I could have seen it live!
I love seeing the XX's alive and well!
Dunno why but I love straight bosozaku pipes
Parkski Gaming unlike the ricers
Glad you enjoyed. Thank you so much for always checking out my videos. I really do appreciate the support. You really are a car-nut... from Seattle. :)
Well well, thanks you tube for suggesting me this 7 years old vid, not a single uninteresting car in it, and a couple of actual gems. Of course Wasabi never actually disappoints, so there. 🖤☠️🖤
Ha! MEGA old video, this one. Thanks for watching, Nick :)
#boiserie
Yeah, I spoke to those Honda guys. They were saying they liked the USDM look.
@ssfproductions1 I looked it up and the car at 2:31 is most definitely a late 1970s model Nissan Laurel.
Cresta TT 😍
Thank you
Japanese cars in the U.S. are nowhere near as cool as these.
Same with canada lol
Agreed
There are a few guys doing this style. Many people simply don’t like it
Do you live in the US? Do you have a Japanese car? Congrats, then you can help solve the problem!
Dude the white car with the exaust was crazy!!
Cool. Thanks for stopping by. :)
that last orange one was sweet!!!
Hi Paula. The below quoteis from Ethan Cowley on the Wasabicars Facebook page.
"Bosozoku typically refers to the bikes, specifically the gangs that have been riding them since the late 50s, and literally translated means "Violent Running Tribe/Gang". The use of the word has become increasingly skewed and bastardized as this style of car culture has become more popular in the last couple of years, but Zoku-Sha is the easiest and most accurate definition."
So, actually, this car is a Zoku-Sha.
Love it! Especially the 810 Bluebird hardtop! And of course I'm very very jealous!
I really want to say thanks for your work on this channel. I'm from Texas and really enjoy the Japanese car culture. It's one of my top places to visit. I understand that you will be going to Australia. Please got to the hot rod show. It would be awesome to see their culture as well. Cars are cars bro no matter what scene your in. Any way once again from the great country of Texas..... Thanks
was there an USDM show, too? a lot of cars passing by look like just came from the USA
great video, I love this style, nice and low, I take it the roads in japan are pretty smooth and not full of pot holes like they are over here in the uk.
Yeah, that'd be a Corona Mark II Grande Coupe. I really ought to make a decent video of one of those. Glad you liked it. :)
I've always liked the Toyota Celica XX, here in North America, particularly the United States, it's called the Celica Supra, or sometimes just the Supra. I've always liked the 1st and 2nd generation Celica XX. I also love the Toyota Soarer. A beautiful looking coupe. I've never seen one of any generation here in North America. I've always loved the 1st gen Nissan Fairlady Z. My parents had one when I was a small boy. And look at that Cressida 2 door! Sweet!
Which car? Perhaps I know it as a different name. I forget if I said so elsewhere, good to see you back. :)
Nice. Also saw some USDM styled Civics rolling by. The show had a little bit of everything, I'm guessing?
Very nice footage !
great video dan ... and i have two things to say ..
1st : is the (bosozoku style) or slamming (lowering) a car like that legal in japan ?
2nd : 2:42 i never knew that toyota made a 2 door cresseda .. that's the first time to see it . every video you upload i learn more about cars that i probably never knew they were even made :)
keep up the good work dan ...
Sorry. It's hard for me to notice newer cars. I actually don't mind the B4 though. :/
I'm still staring at that word. What does CERCL mean?
It looks pretty neat, especially the shaping of the rear end and the pillarless hardtop roof. The modifactions don't look too bad on that one either IMO.
I'd rock that as it is except I couldn't get it off my yard, not to mention the quality of Finlands roads. Not quite the "racetracks" of Japan that can be ridden on literally 1cm of height. :P
don't apologize, this video was great!
Love the black Z with red stripes
I don't know what half of these cars are, but I'm loving them… but what are those white rings hanging from the bumper on a lot of them?
Thanks. Oh, they are called tsurikawa. It's definitely part of the style.
I've seen the SC300 and SC400. I like the early versions rather than the more recent version. You know, the convertible.
Wish we had access to those here in the states.
I recommend a small, hand-held device. Easy to grip, and popular with the ladies. iPhone, etc...
north american version of the soarer is the sc300/400 but i wish there was an older soarer equivalent here
Low rider, rider a little lower !!! LOL XD ^_^ Really liked the early model Supra's !! ^_^
Tell me about it! I'm yet to see even one in Japan. My Grandma actually had a bronzy/sandy-brown coupe (hardtop?) back in the late 80's. I wonder where that ended up.
Was this the same crew as on the video you posted a while back?
Wow that's becuase this is that video... I thought it was new becuase of your G+ post
The cars ride so low they have to be so careful to pull out of that parking lot!
the black car is a toyota Celica. And at 1.34 is a Coupe Cressida:)
I like... THE RED ONE! :D
Yeah, these are Zoku-sha lite. They just give you a taste. :)
love the celica supra/celica xx/ma61/ga61 XD
want one of those for quite a while since i dont see
much of those fixed in the states
Yeah, it made the 2+2 shape much cooler.
Thanks! I can see by your avatar that you were stoked to see the vid. ;-)
Im guessing there are no speed bumps in Japan parking lots?
what's the white and gold car at 1;25? it looks awesome, i want it!
LOL. Just watched the video again and must be my absence for a while... I meant the Gloria/Cedric 330!
Hehe no problem. Keep the videos coming and thank you!
Thanks. Yes, certainly did. :)
Thanks for sharing sir, I always look forward to your updates \m/
Whats the last one?
Yeah I see its a Nissan but can't for some reason recognize the model.
Well, yeah. Custom cars do tend to reduce the number of people who might like them. I should apologize for posting this video because they aren't exactly "Wasabicars". Just trying to mix things up a bit.
Would you believe there are some that are even wilder? There certainly are.
1:31 mx32 cressida coupe?! That's awesome!
Yes! And unfortunate given the condition of the ground.
Glad you liked. :)
HEAVEN!
Zokusha is so cool!
Yes! :)
Love these
Cool. Glad you liked. :)
another great video!!
Awesome video man
Thank you. :)
these were interesting to see but id rather own the swift looking thing. its good to mix it up i didn't mean that in a disrespectful way
;( I hope you can find cars in future vids that you like. Sometimes, I just have top mix it up, is all.
Thank you! :)
Thanks for watching. :) Yeah, that's the thing with customized cars, less & less people will like it.
thanks man
nice cool factor to ur vids
It was pretty cool. ^_^
Thank you. :)
What is the wing that these cars use mounted upside down on the rear bumper
Not sure, Lee. I suggest you ask a Kaido racer page on Facebook. They'll be able to immediately tell you
id rather that black swift looking thing in the background to be honest
Thanks for watching! :)
IC (I see.) Laughing Out Loud!
awesome :D
why are these not bosozuku??
Good question. Us non-Japanese started using the term for this type of car when it was used by the Japanese to describe modified motorbikes. When the word jumped cultures, its meaning changed. This actually happens a lot.
so this style is realy called shakoton or zokusha??
***** yes bosozoku are rebel biker gangs
Malik White its a common mistake to call these cars bozo style
Malik White zokusha is the proper name for the 'outrageous' cars.
where i can buy those kitty on 0.04?
Hahaha. I wouldn't worry about it. I'm always getting stuff wrong. :/
That is a 230 Laurel. :)
Wheels within wheels. ;-)
only bright orange car there!
can anyone tell me wat bosozoku is
I want that b4 rsk that went by....
2:24 it's a Nissan Cedric? :)
Awesome cars (O。O)
Subbed ,D
Love the Celica,/Supera. But the sound not tooo great, like fart lol
Sorry, I just don't know. :/
2:20 is that a laurel? What year model?
Yes, looks to be a 79 or 80
Whats the brown one at 02:31 ? Laurel? no clue
Well the same question... Maybe a Cedric but nah I dont think so
SSFproductions1 its datsun laurel c230
Love Toyotas. Celicas looked mean.
yeah, whith no glasses it could look like a celeste gt or the likes;) Both cool cars tho'!
What's the difference between bosozuku and shakotan?
Bosozoku*
Bosozoku is completely over the top.
Shakotan just means low rider in Japanese
+Narek T. You solve numbers in nine different boxes while you drive . . .
Does anyone know what car is at 0:49. This video was recorded at very low framerate
Yeah, it an old video, so yeah, framerate, etc... is sub-par
The car @0:49 is a Z10 Toyota Soara.
Oops, missed this comment... There are some good roads and some bad ones... I'd say these guys have to stick to the good ones. (Or else they just have to drive slow.)
Oh, it's all good. I'd just hate to lose any viewers I guess. :)
They wouldn't last a block with our local speed humps...
Open headers. .. Because compression is so unnecessary
That has absolutely nothing to do with compression
Trust me... When you've bent a valve because of open headers you'll lose compression.
LOL you are severely misinformed... bending a valve because of open headers... hah
Oh you've never seen it? I'm not surprised.... you've never left "the internet"....
Open headers wouldn't change compression. It would change the back pressure that N/A cars rely on, where as turbo cars when straight piped allow the turbo to spool faster.
0:40 how did he install that oil cooler to his bumper
its called magic aka brackets and strews
I know that just oil coolers brackets are for the inside of the bumper not on the outside of the bumper
Japanese are good at moding things like that =)
IK XD
It's their style
It's accidental. :/
:/ I forget how I edited it... The Laurel(?)?
