You never cease to amaze me, I don't think I've seen even one of your videos that has not inspired me to use my imagination and create something wonderful. Thank you for that.
Yvonne i love your work and i am very happy to tell you that from your video's i have learned to make the tree of life with a moon in the branches they were so loved by my family that each daughter received one for Christmas they love them so ty for your tutorial to make them
Oh I'm so glad I decided to rewatch old videos. I forgot about this design but it's stunning and looks like more hard work than it is which is perfect. I want to try adding a square gemstone cab, some weaving in between the wrap and the spirals and coil every other wire in different patterns, maybe mix wire types like copper and silver maybe.
This is going to be my new hobby, you make it look so easy ! Can't buy prettier ones in the store or as well made. Thank you for sharing this craft Blessed Be 😱 😇🌺🌺
I adore the doggy steath mode of clicking nails and you just tune them out...I just LOVE YOU and your work...Where can I share pics of things I tried to make via your videos? You rock it girl...and a small video to mee the dog would be awesome in cos play lol
I just made this as my first thing ever from your channel, and it worked out well! I was all fingers and thumbs to begin with, and it’s certainly not perfect, quite ‘organic’ but we all love that right? Thank you sooo much for your time and effort in helping us total newbies! x
Hi Yvonne, Love your stuff. I just wanted to add my two cents as a complete noob. I watched a video somewhere that gave the tip of lining up wires like this on tape. When you're a beginner it's very hard to keep the wires lined up in your hand like you do so well ;) This is my third project and I love your tutorials. Keep on keeping on
This is beautiful. This is the first time I've caught any of your videos -- I'll definitely be back. I can't wait to try this -- would love to make it slightly shorter and make it into earrings. Thank you so much for sharing.
I made this pendant this morning and it came out very nice! Thanks so much for your great tutorial. It was very easy to follow. I appreciate your sharing your talent!
Love it darlin' I add all your stuff to my jewellery making playlist because it appeals to so many people (I always give a shout out of where the idea came from so hopefully, now that I am working a lot, I will point people in your direction) hope you are having a lovely Easter. ..mine tend to be a bit on the pagan side but any excuse for chocolate lol! xx
I remember you saying you wanted to do more guy-friendly materials. I saw a guy on TH-cam use wire to make a scorpion. It looked cool, but the video was too hard to follow (he didn't talk and ran it fast). I'd love to see you do a video on something like that or other creepy crawlies. I'm working on handmade gifts for about 60 family members for Christmas (all ages) and the guys are the hardest to think things up for. Some are crochet (amigurumi), and some will be dragon's eyes (thanks to your brilliant instruction!), and hopefully a few will be wire items, although I must confess I've got some major work to do in that skill area. Thanks so much for all you do with these videos! They've given me a lot more ways to give each person something truly unique that doesn't look like a kindergartner did it in craft time. :o)
lol! I will have to try out some projects like that! :) And I am so glad my videos are helpful to you; gift giving is so much more fun when you get to make them!
How often do you replace the jaws of your nylon pliers ??? ... I like that you cut long ... Easy to trim excess ... Hard to add wire if you cut too short ...
Heya, James! I don't think I have ever replaced the jaws of my pliers, lol. I could probably use to do that.... I would always rather have to cut off some excess than be just a bit too short!
I love watching you you do some really lovely work I'm a newbie and still trying to get my head around this. When they sell the wire at parawire do they sell it by the spool or buy the package and how many feet are on a spool and how many feet if it comes in a package I'm interested in buying so I can do some of your projects thank you
Heya, Maggie! :) Thank you! I have learned techniques from all over the place; books, internet, and other artists play a big role in how I got my start. Even 9 years into it I am learning new things all the time and trying to expand my craft :)
Heya, Allison! I get my wire from www.parawire.com I highly recommend the 18ga, 20ga, and 26ga wires if you would like to follow along with my tutorials :-)
Really pretty pendant! Looks like something I might even be able to make. Wondering why you choose to use ParaWire over any other brand. I'm new to wire wrapping, so any tid bits of info you can offer about wire products would be appreciated. Sounds like maybe it's time to trim your pups toenails, or take him/her out for a long walk on concrete to sand them down. I know, none-of-my-business. Just mentioning as a fellow dog lover and one who had bad experience (one I wouldn't wish on any dog or their parents) with long dog nails. When our boxer's nails got as long as your pup's sound, she started getting splits and breaks. It became painful for her to walk on the wood and tile floors and the vet had to attend to a really bad break, down into the quick. Not a cheap prospect if you have bad luck like we did with long toe nails.
Harder than it looks! It does require some hand strength which I don’t have. Carpal tunnel☹️ I finished the tree and it’s messy. Starting the weaving the framing wire and hands started shaking. I will finish though, but it will look “rustic”.
Heya, Claxy! I wrap a lot of my plyer handles in thermoplastics, in this case teraflex from Tandy Leather, Wil shared the link to the video where I show how i did it (Thanks, Wil!!)
I tried this with round instead do half round and could not get it tight enough to hold the wire without having them slide around. Is that because I used round? Whenever I tried to wrap it tighter I could not keep the other wires from bundling together instead of staying flat. I might try a wire wrapping pattern with 24 guage wire in the middle of the piece.
Hi Yvonne, I just had to tell you that I simply love your work. You make it look so easy and you always keep it fresh with your brain farts and dog hair in your piece of work lol Ii have both of those myself. You dog sounds like it would have mine for a snack. Can you tell me where you buy your wire. I bought some at a hardware store, it was copper. Is it going to turn me green?
Heya, Tami! I get my wire from www.parawire.com The stuff from the hardware store will likely turn you green, but you can experiment with sealing the back with mod podge, epoxy, or leather to keep it off your skin. Some folks only work with bare copper because they love the way it ages.
before i got my little anvil i ued to tape my wire onto a sledge hammer and tap it with a regular hammer,,the tape helps keep the wire from damage you dont want as well as holding it in place,,,lol i used duct tape...hey it worked!
Heya, Sue (and thanks, Brissy!) I do a bi-monthly fairy house giveaway through Patreon www.patreon.com/backtoearthcreations and if you become a Patron you get entered into all of my giveaways across all of my social media without having to actively participate; its like a VIP club :)
im curious, do you know which wires from parawire are hypoallergenic? I'm allergic to many metals and would love to make some of these to wear for myself.
as far as I have experienced all of the enameled copper core wires are hypoallergenic. Everyone has different sensitivities, though, so I'd recommend experimenting with it if you are leery.
so i only have round wire...and i am following this tutorial. Im having an issue with the spirals moving and not keeping still. how can i keep them still!
Hey Sweetie, I have not used Parawire. I have used Artistic wire and have not been happy with their silver colored wire as it turns gold after a time. We sell at a local farmers market and the sun brings out the copper. Do you seem to have any problems with the Parawire doing that? We have started several months ago using silver filled from Rio Grande but it is a little pricey. I am hoping that the Parawire doesn't do this as I could use a price break. Lovngly Lynne
I had those same problems with artistic wire and thats why I made a full transition to parawire. I haven't had any problems with it, but I also haven't done many outdoor craft shows in the past few years. I will make a parawire sample and leave it out in the sun for a while and let you know how it goes!!
good to know. I am trying to get my stuff online through facebook and squareup. a friend is coming this week to show us what we need to do. my problem is that my partner is 70 and getting too old for outside shows and although I am only 65 I can't take the heat in the time between now and Oct and the cold that comes sporadically in between. so we have gone to silver filled. But if Parawire is stable and less expensive and not doing go many outdoor events I will give it a try. Do you buy it through their own site or where do you get it?
I gotta ask, do you ever accidentally pinch your finger when making the start of the spirals? I'm always scared for the tip of your finger whenever you push your pliers in!
Hey, Andy! For as many times as I have pinched and poked myself with my pliers, I have never had it happen when making a spiral; the wire keeps the pliers from grabbing my skin :)
Ahh thank you for the reply! I also just want to say thank you so much for your videos, you've been inspiring me to pick up wirewrapping again after trying it out a while back, and you make me feel like I can actually make things haha :D
I see that you have wrapped the handles of some pliers with clay. For a better grip? At least I now have an idea to use my worthless fimo profesional, because it is so hard, it is not good for anything. Have been warming it up for an hour, and still hard. And as soon as i put it on a table to roll it out, it cools down so fast, and again as hard as a rock. And you can start over again.
You look EXACTLY the same today, Vonne. That trips me out. Cute project!
You never cease to amaze me, I don't think I've seen even one of your videos that has not inspired me to use my imagination and create something wonderful. Thank you for that.
Yvonne i love your work and i am very happy to tell you that from your video's i have learned to make the tree of life with a moon in the branches they were so loved by my family that each daughter received one for Christmas they love them so ty for your tutorial to make them
I can't get enough of your videos - you are seriously the. cutest.
Lol, sounds like your dogs are tap dancing around 12:00 in. Made me smi!e. Thanks so much for sharing! Another simple yet beautiful piece!
lol, I think they are tap dancing :p
So cute. You always make it look so easy. You are such an inspiration to so many.
I love this. There is a touch of the Aztec about it.
ooo, I can see that!
So beautiful. I’m glad i found you on TH-cam
Oh I'm so glad I decided to rewatch old videos. I forgot about this design but it's stunning and looks like more hard work than it is which is perfect. Very pretty! I bet it would look great with two tones, like a copper/bronze or a copper/silver! :)
oooo, that sounds like it would look great!
Some nice "BLING!!!" You' have the prettiest green eyes.
hehe, thank you Thomas! :)
This is going to be my new hobby, you make it look so easy ! Can't buy prettier ones in the store or as well made. Thank you for sharing this craft Blessed Be 😱 😇🌺🌺
hehe, welcome to crafting, Betty!
I love this. You have the best giggle--always makes me smile.
And you also need to introduce your tap-dancers!
hehe, I will do that! :-D
Love this! Very simple, but elegant, and as you said, you can really add so much to it. Thanks for sharing!
Its my pleasure, Kristina! Thank you for watching :)
Pretty & unique! Nice work! Thank you so much!
I adore the doggy steath mode of clicking nails and you just tune them out...I just LOVE YOU and your work...Where can I share pics of things I tried to make via your videos? You rock it girl...and a small video to mee the dog would be awesome in cos play lol
heya, Mary! You can share pictures of your work on my facebook page here: facebook.com/Back-to-Earth-Creations-232879571674/
I might make this in conjunction with the Viking Chain you taught us!
ooo, that would look wicked cool!
I just made this as my first thing ever from your channel, and it worked out well! I was all fingers and thumbs to begin with, and it’s certainly not perfect, quite ‘organic’ but we all love that right? Thank you sooo much for your time and effort in helping us total newbies! x

hehe, thanks Carol! I am glad you like it :)
I really like the design and I am going to try it very soon! Your's is just beautiful! You do such a good job of teaching us, keep up the good work!
Wow, thank you Nancy!
This is beautiful. This is the first time I've caught any of your videos -- I'll definitely be back. I can't wait to try this -- would love to make it slightly shorter and make it into earrings. Thank you so much for sharing.

Hey, GiGi! I will do that :)
That is so awesomeness. Gunna try this. Looks soon easy. Thank you hun
You are soooo good. LOVE THIS PIECE
Ooh okay added it to my list for all my scrap lol
Yass!!
Hey I looked at this and saw an ornament
I modified it into a little tree for my Xmas tree! 🎄🎄🎄

you are so good as this do you mind me asking where did you learn making jewelry ?? thanks for sharing your amazing jewelry .

I was just thinking that the shape of the bale is in a V for Von 😂 this would be a great reason for why you prefer it.
What kind of Nylon jaw pliers are good to use.....the ones I got at Micheals don’t grip very well.
before i got my little anvil i ued to tape my wire onto a sledge hammer and tap it with a regular hammer,,the tape helps keep the wire from damage you dont want as well as holding it in place,,,lol i used duct tape...hey it worked!
Question: You mention another site towards the end, but I cannot quite understand--the one you pay a dollar a month. Clarify?
Sue Morrow she's talking about Patreon. There's a link with more details etc in the video description
Thanks!

Where did you get all your pliers from? and the Anvil I would love to make this :D
Hello! I have accumulated my pliers over the years from different hobby stores and online, and I got my anvil from www.tandyleather.com
were do you get tour aire from?
Hey, Patricia! I get my wire from www.parawire.com :)
Yvonne, Does Para wire come is Square? Kris
Heya, Kris! It does! I have had the best results with 18ga square; it provides a lot of strength and structure to pieces :-)
Cool I need to order some for a class I'm teaching on wire wrapped bracelets.
And you can start over again.
ps it was a small sledge hammer but i suppose a big one would work too
I can never straighten wire. Even with those pliers. Maybe because Parawire is a better wire.
hmm, maybe! what wire are you currently working with?
Yvonne Williams lol...walmart and what they sell at Joanne's fabrics. I never knew that the brand could make such a difference
I think the word you were looking for is "uniformity."
LIKE
sorry wire
