Conneaut Lake Historical Socitey Cruise In And Firing The Engine Up On Liberty the Second, the famous V-8 aircraft engine race boat that sank in Conneaut Lake in 1922 and was brought to the surface in 1985 and restored. I have some history with this boat! I was 21 years old and ran with Conneaut Lake Park Volunteer Fire Dept and was notified that they have found the boat and I helped getting the tons of silt and mud out of the boat before it couple be moved to the Marina to be hoisted out of the water to be taken to have it restored.
